TomSportsHack
Would have made a lousy, easily-beatable nominee and (God forbid) a worse president.

MoreheadEagle
McCain is not dumb enough to put Rudy on the ticket. McCain will need a very conservative VP to pacify the party.

Thompson/Hunter or Huckabee makes the most sense here then. Hunter would be the best for him if it wasn't for the fact that he has NO name recognition. Thompson doesn't have too much but he has been very careful with McCain during his ENTIRE campaign. Never took a jab when he could have and attacked the candidates that presented the biggest challenges to John. I think Thompson will be his pick for VP, if not, he will at least be on the cabinet somehow.

Fortunately, his daddy and is grandpappy were both high-ranking admirals, so he managed to do okay with his limited assets.

I have an aunt that LOVES McCain and will continue to vote for him.

I will in no way ever vote for the man but unlike someone else who's parents got them a sweet military deal (cough....W.....cough) McCain actually honorably served our nation. He was a good pilot and went through hell. I'll never vote for him but I will respect him.

Wow - a cheap shot at a man who came this close to giving his life while in Vietnam captivity. Nice.
Wireman
Giuliani ran argueably the worst campaign in the history of politics. Whoever made his strategy is a tool.

Nice. ...and did you hear that John McCain served in Vietnam as well? I commend McCain for his honorable service, but I condemn him his for his dishonorable behavior in the US Senate. Being a POW does not provide a person lifetime immunity from criticism. Republicans who support John McCain will eventually regret their decision. Hopefully, McCain will never become president. He has done enough damage in his 25 years in the US Senate.
