I don't care how many times that I heard those stories I still laughed hard every time..........."Hey Marcel","Knock em' out John" ,"Lion in the yard", "just shoot up here amoungst us - one of us got to have some relief" Maybe the best thing about Clower was that you would never hear a curse word, anything dirty out of him and he could be funny w/o all that. A lot of people I would say do not know that he was an ordained Baptist minister. R.I.P.......Jerry Clower.
January 30, 200818 yr Foxworthy, Engvall, Cosby, Clower are favorites. Stephen Wright (it's a small world but I wouldn't want to have to paint it), Jim Gaffigan, and Brian Regan are becoming favorites.
January 30, 200818 yr That is odd that you include Carrington with all of the other comedians you mentioned. His style of comedy is COMPLETELY different! Yeah he really doesnt fit in with the others I mention but he cracks me up. I like the Blue Collar Comedy guys too but the others are just ones I thought of off the top of my head.
January 30, 200818 yr Maybe the best thing about Clower was that you would never hear a curse word, anything dirty out of him and he could be funny w/o all that. A lot of people I would say do not know that he was an ordained Baptist minister. R.I.P.......Jerry Clower. He played college football for Mississippi State. One of my favorite stories is when played against UK and Babe Parilli.
