I thought St. Henry might spring this upset? Congrats to the 'Cru on making the trip to Richmond--Good luck vs. UHA (an awfully tough first assignment)!!

The streak is broken for NCC. Both teams played hard on Friday night. I wasn't able to make the game tonight as I was covering the 8th Region.

 

We will have live stats for the Crusaders games while in Richmond.

Great win for the Crusaders over a very good NewCath squad. Don't know what will happen in Richmond but ending the NewCath streak sure feels good!

 

WAY TO GO 'CRU!!! Congrats to Coach Faust and his staff on win #250! There isn't a finer man coaching in NKY than Dave Faust.

First time I have seen NCC this year and they have no rebounding and are very slow....except for Pangallo. Was not impressed at all with them..Maybe they just had a bad night though...it happens.

I am very much surprised by the 14 pt victory but not surprised Faust had his team prepared and came out victorious. I am not so sure though they can get by Univ. Heights and Hopson the 9th ranked player in the country. St. Henry has had some role players step up and they must be very good shooters but it will be a short trip down and back and would have been for any team out of the 9th this year.

Everyone knows your not going to shut him down, if he's that good. But if you ask Faust I guarentee the goal is to slow him down and hold him around 20pts. Then do a great job on the other players on the floor. Just do enough to keep the Crusaders close. St. Henry is probably one of the deepest teams in the this tourny and that will help them tremendously.

Dave might be the best coach up here but I still think they are overmatched. I am not counting them out completely because there is something to be said about underdogs and darkhorses playing well at tourney time so hopefully I will be proved wrong.

I believe Coach Faust did a pretty good job with his game plan on OJ Mayo during the Crusaders last run to the All A state championship. So I wouldnt be suprised to see the CRU hold Hopson down either.

It wiil be hard for them, but I wish them the best of luck. Good luck down there. Make NKY proud!
