In about the same manner that I think that I "could" be struck by lightning. Could it happen? Sure. Likely? Not really. I think I've said as much.

 

Some would believe that Woodson is infallable. Just in these threads it has gone from a "sure fire" round 1 selection to "no less" than round 2 to "another poor showing" will only drop him one more round. I'm not giving my personal opinon, I've provided links from ACTUAL NFL scouts who say that Woodson is, at best, a major project. To say the least he hasn't been impressive.

 

I think ultimately what may save him from going on day 2 is how weak this class of QBs is. I really only think there will be one, two at most QBs selected in the first round this year. Yes teams need them, but they aren't going to take a QB in round 1 that will be there in round 2. They do this thing called "slotting" much like the Bengals did last year. The strategy many are advocating is what the Bengals did for years, draft a QB because you need one, regardless of the talent level of who is there.

 

On a side note, I now know why people hate to give opinions contrary to the SEC or UK on this board. Woodson was an outstanding QB at UK, as many college QBs have been outstanding before him, but to even suggest that he may not be a good pro QB? :scared:

I dont think anyone, especially me has said that Woodson is gonna be some "great" NFL QB, just that your high out of your mind if you think he slips out of the draft or even below the 2nd round for that matter. The fact is, you, nor anyone else, including the NFL scouts can predict what kind of career a QB will have. Speculate? Yes! But to stand back and try and say definitively who will be great and who will not is, well...STUPID! Just some recent examples of first round busts, Alex Smith (Woodson is better than anyway), Aaron Rogers, Cade McNown, Akili Smith, Tim Couch, etc etc. Just like no one could have predicted the rise of Tony Romo, Hasselbeck,Derek Anderson, David Garrard, Marc Bulger, etc etc would be good starting NFL QB's

 

I believe I speak for most, not all, but most on here when I say I cheer and hope that EVERY player from KY can go as high as they possibly can. That goes for all QB's that have come from UL or UK, Ragone, Leflores, Brohm, Redman, Boyd, Lorenzon, Couch, Woodson and all the rest that will come from either of these schools.

 

So sit back and degrade Woodson cause he went to UK, I'm sure his future in the NFL and probably any other aspect is brighter than yours:thumb:

I don't think "high out of my mind" is exactly appropriate because I think he'll go lower than the 2nd round. Here's the amazing part to me, you say so definitively that NO ONE can predict the career future of an NFL QB, and rake me over the coals for speculating about the future of one Mr. Andre Woodson. Yet when I speculate that Woodson may go lower than the 2nd round, you feel somehow qualified to say DEFINITVELY that this could not possibly happen? How does that work exactly?

 

Your hippocracy knows no bounds........it isn't just limited to Andre Woodson.......you criticize others for "personal attacks" and then make those same attacks on those you criticize.

 

You don't have to agree with my opinion, but at least you could hear the other side. How many QB's were drafted last year in the 1st two rounds? 4, and that was in a class with more talent than this one. I certainly don't think I'd be in the minority among the general public in saying that there is at the very least some discussion on whether Woodson is in the top 4 QB's in this class?? Or am I just beating my head against a blue wall??

Spin it how you want, the point that everyone has a problem with on your opinion is that you speculate he won't be drafted at all. The draft is A LOT easier to predict that someones carear, I never once said he would DEFINITVELY have a great career, but I can gaurantee he gets drafted...
