January 27, 200818 yr Woodson took a safety, turned the ball over on a senseless fumble, and generally looked awful. I think he completed 2 passes. He was clearly the worst QB there. Woodyard really impressed me. He made some very nice plays, including a stop in a 1 on 1 situation on 4th and 1. I think he really improved his stock today. He was IMO the defensive MVP for his team. Tamme had a couple of catches, nothing spectacular. He struggled at the point of attack in his blocking and in his route running against man to man coverage. Little returned kickoffs and punts, and seemed to struggle a bit in doing so. He had very few carries, but did have a couple of nice 7 or so yard runs. I think that's everyone, at least everyone that I remember.
January 27, 200818 yr The Ellis kid from USC was a beast. If the Bengals get him they should feel lucky. Henne looked good with 2 TDs (one of them was a bad ball that the WR made a play on). The Flacco kid from Delaware has a huge arm and was impressive. There was also a corner from Tennessee State (something Cromartie) that was making plays all over the field. He and Woodyard kept the South in the game.
January 27, 200818 yr Mike Singletary was the Assistant head coach and DC for the South and said the most impressive LB in practice was Kentucky (Woodyard). I love to pay for NFL netowrk (I do wish I could not pay for the home shopping networks, 4 networks for women, and cage fights - great commercial ). I watched several practice this week, dvr'd them while at work and watched at night, Singletary and others offered big praise for Woodyard and they talked a little about Tamme, as a good catching TE, lacking in blocking skills and compared him to the rookie this year with the Bears. I planned on watching the game today but got called in and forgot to dvr it, hopefully it will replay this week.

January 27, 200818 yr Andre was 3-6 27yds 1-TD 0-int 1-F 1-rush 6yds. He looked bad on 2 series and ok on 2 series. He did lead them to their first two scores. 1 TD pass and 1 FG.

I'm not going by stats, I was going by strictly what I saw. For instance, Henne's numbers look great, but it doesn't say a thing about how poorly the ball that he threw for the first touchdown was. Or that Woodson took 3 sacks, one resulted in a turnover and one in a safety. It also spoke volumes to me that when Woodson and Brennan were in, it was run, run, run, especially after each of their first turnovers. As to the scoring drives, I'd only say that it would be difficult (although not impossible given the way the South QBs were playing) to not score when given the ball on or inside the opponents 30 twice.

I still think he'd be a great 3-4 outside backer. Last I saw he being projected at safety. If he busts another 4.5 forty at the real NFL combine he'll make a scary strong safety. He can also contribute at LB and on special teams.
