January 24, 200818 yr I think the schedule is very managable the rest of the way. @UT & @Vandy will be tough, but I think the rest are winnable. I say 3-3 on the road and 5-1 at home the rest of the way. That would put us at 16-13 heading into the SEC tournament. If we can win a couple in the conference tournament, post-season play is still within reach IMO.
January 24, 200818 yr The only shot at the NCAA tourney is to either go on some crazy run of winning 10+ straight, or to win the SEC tournament. That said, I don't think they will have the legs to do it....I say 6-6 would be reasonable for the regular season. The team is playing with a lot more confidence and has looked a lot better the past three games...that momentum will hopefully carry on the rest of the season and into the recruiting period (and next season).
January 24, 200818 yr Author Im with Bear...I think the Cats would have to go on a tear down the stretch, and/or win the SEC Tournament to get in the NCAA. While definitely not impossible, it'll be a tough road for them. Keep an eye on UK's health issues, and definitely their stamina. Bradley, IMO, will HAVE to get some rest at some point for UK to make a run to the post-season.
January 24, 200818 yr If UK can pull another upset over Tennessee and Vandy, win out at home, and then go 2-2 or 3-1 in the other away games they may get in without the SEC Champ. But in reality I don't see this happening, but if college basketball is anything like football this year, we could all be shocked... GO CATS!
