You're a very honorable guy. But I would not have a problem with you parking there while you have your leg busted up.

Thanks, BF. I hesitated to even post that because I didn't want people to think I was looking for a pat on the back, but I really just wanted to emphasize that the handicap spots are for people who TRULY need AND deserve them.:thumb:

Not everyone that has a handicap pass in their car is the owner of said pass. I used to be my grandmothers main source of transportation. Dr's appointments, shopping, post office, pharmacy, ect. She is diabetic and an amputee, not to mention in her late 80's. I kept her pass in my car and used it liberally when she was with me. Any other time, it stayed in the console. My guess is there are a lot of passes like hers that the owners main source of transportation keeps the pass, but uses it for their own convenience.

I know someone coming off of cancer, and he doesn't even have one. Whether he's applied, I don't know, but I know he doesn't have one.

Let me get this straight, so you went to the hallowed grounds of Augusta National, the monument to Bobby Jones who is the epitome of character and class, you abuse the use of a handicap sticker and walk probably 4 miles up and down steep hills??? Takes a lot of nerve.

It is not like we took Byron Nelson's parking spot.

Yes. You should have ripped into him right then and there. I have to know who it was now. PM me. :irked:

So you want me to fight with a guy that has a handicap sticker. Sounds like a no win situation.

A number of years ago my mother had two major back surgeries and could never walk very well after them so we got her a sticker. After one of her surgeries I had to take her back to Lexington for a check up. I had just got her in the car and was just slamming down the trunk lid (after putting her wheelchair in the trunk) when a woman came up to me screaming like a mad woman. "There is no reason for you to have a sticker and to be allowed to park there". "Who in the world do you think you are". "I am calling the police on you right now". I probably should have let her call the police and see what she said when she realized that I was parking there for my mom and we had a sticker. As it was, I took the high road and opened up the trunk and showed her the wheelchair and then my mom and then the "STICKER". Note: She never said she was sorry

I think Arnold Palmer got Lord Byron's spot.;)

Absolutely! If he has it unfairly and is using something he shouldn't I would say something. I would at least let my displeasure be known. There's no excuse for someone being that self-centered and inconsiderate.

Ok so you want me to fight with a card carrying handicapped person. Thanks but no thanks.

Speaking as one...hell yes! :irked: Besides, based on your description, he isn's a disabled person at all--just abusing the system.

You described him as a person who had no physical problem, and just had the sticker. That's what I'm going by. If that accurately describes the situation, I think it's shameful.
