h.s.footballfan Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 This is the old captains cove. Interior was renovated and it looks nice inside.Went there for lunch the other day and the food was awesome. I think they have a daily special, but Thursday you can pick any of their different style burgers for $5.99 Anyone else been there?
gametime Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 I haven't since the switch, but it's on the list...
leo42171 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 It is very nice, this is the same guy that owns The 915 in Fort Thomas and he is renovating a place on Fairfield Avenue in Bellevue for another Bar-N-Grill.

I knew about the 915 but havent heard about the new bar in Bellevue. Do you know when he is planning on opening it up?

NHS BIG DADDY Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Haven't been since it was the cove but I may have to check it out. It looked pretty nice on the inside when I drove by the other night.

Still small. ha.
THUNDERBIRDS Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 I hope you don't plan on taking any children with you to eat at one of his places. I know first hand that the guy can't stand children. His crowd is typically close friends of his. Sometimes your customers(friends) can't be at all 3 places at the same time. Seems to me the guy is spreading himself a little thin. I wish him luck though!!!!

He has a lot of good people working for him.

I think one of my friends said he owns bar in Main Straus and in Hyde park, i could be wrong though.
statmanhensley Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Where exactly in Newport is this located at?

leo42171 Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Where exactly in Newport is this located at? 5th and Monmouth Streets near the World Peace Bell and next door to The Syndicate.
98NCCalum Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 I like the 915, have yet to check out CitySide.
statmanhensley Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 5th and Monmouth Streets near the World Peace Bell and next door to The Syndicate. I might have to try that out then. I'm going to go see Bruce Bruce at the FunnyBone on Friday evening so I might stop in there before the show. Thanks for the tip!
