Williamsburg must find some one to replace Will Moses' speed. He had the ability to make big plays. The defense will be much better in that all the young kids they played will be much better. Look for Pettit to have a monster year. He matured a bunch at the end of the year and gained the confidence needed to suceed. The offens is tailer made for a big reciever like him. Speed at the linebacker and D end positions would be a big plus.

Losing only two seniors that made significant contributions is a big plus for the Jackets. They will benefit from depth and experience. The major question mark is replacing a 1000 yard back in Will Moses. This is a big blow for the offense, but I look for some of the younger kids to step up and lock that position down. This season has a ton of potential with all 4 WR's, the QB and 4 of 5 OL returning, but there is much work to be done...especially on defense. That is the biggest question mark for WHS this season, the defense. If they have some young kids come along that can contribute in order to keep the DL fresh it can be a key to success for a defense that should be much improved from last season. There were times that the youth showed on the field for WHS; if these young men dedicate themselves to doing the hard work it takes they may take another positive step toward district, region, and possibly state championships in the future. One challenge is for the team to remain focused on the task at hand while they lift and approach spring practice. They cannot become complacent with where they are if they want to take that next step. The future can be bright in Williamsburg if these young men will work hard in the classroom and on the field this off season.

GO JACKETS!!!

Williamsburg is on the right track. They have coaches that care about the kids, and are smart enough to adjust thier scheme to fit the kids they have on the field. Those kids who buy into whats going on down there, will excel in my opinion.

I think they will be going at it again with Campbellsville for the right to the district title. Both teams were very young this year and will be returning a lot of talent for 1A ball. Their playoff game against C-ville was one of the most exciting 2nd halves of football I've ever watched. Good luck to the Jackets in 2008.

The jackets will return their quarterback and all 4 recievers. There are still a lot of questions about this team. How good will the running game be? I know they return there o-line, but this team struggled to count on there running game at key times last year. This is especially true when they needed to pick up 1 or 2 yards. Will the Jacket defense be disciplined. Last year at times Williamsburg was undisciplined on defense at it cost them ball games. Most of the year Williamsburg stuggled with DB's bitting up on routes, D-lineman loosing rush lanes, and Linebackers who seemed to get lost. Lastly Williamsburg has to improve their ability to throw the vertical routes. They were very inconsistant with Fade and Seem routes. This realy hurt them in their playoff lost to Campbellsville. What Williamsburg does well is throwing 7 to 12 yrd routes, and making the defense defend sideline to sideline each and every play. If this continues they will have moderate sucess. If they can fix their mistakes, they can be one of the best teams in Single A.

No doubt about it, Williamsburg will be loaded next year. They have a system that is hard to stop entirly. Plus they have some key games at home next year. Good coaching staff and good athletes. Should be interesting.

I wouldn't say loaded. I think Campbellsville will be very good and should be favored to win the district. As for a system that is hard to stop. I believe Campbellsville shut out the Jackets the first half of the playoff game and has plenty of enough athletes to defend the Jackets. It should be a fun match up!! Good oppurtunity for both teams.

Williamsburg should have a good season. I heard their quarterback along with their recievers have alot of talent. The Rolins kid is a hoss. Also heard Williamsburg had several selected to the SEKC football team. Does anybody know who they are?

Very talented group of skill kids. Their offensive system makes them even better. QB is really good and their receivers are good. Next year will be fun.

W'burg and Campbellsville both will have most of their kids back, it should be a heck of a rematch...Look out for Lynn Camp also, Coach Mitchell will have something to say about who wins this district...

Lynn Camp will be good as well. The running back that filled in for Roskoph was pretty good. I also liked the veer look they showed against Williamsburg out of gun. The kid #10 who came in and played QB (I believe his name was Mitchell) is pretty quick.

If W'burg can find a RB half as good as Moses was, look out for the Jackets. Everything is there for more of the same as this year for them. When does the new athletic facility open up?

Campbellsville lost the big RB but still have the kids that can hurt you when the ball is in their hands. LC has some work to do before they can even think about competing for the district title. Had a lot of trouble moving the ball after Joe went down and only scored 7 points in 10 qtrs to end the year. BUT their Defense only allowed Hazard 17, M'boro 21 and C'ville 13 over the last 3 games (At least 3 of those TDs were against LC's special teams). The D could be even better next year.

Williamsburg will be fine at FB, they have some very talented young men vying for that position. Depth will, as always be the concern. The Burg's starters can line up with alot of class a teams, but youth will need to mature quickly in the back ups. D line and LB's will be stronger this year, but needed is someone to step up as a cover corner, and a free safety that can be a run stopper as well as play center field. Overall I think this team has the potential to play for a region title.

Alos let me add this, Williamsburg - Campbellsville is looking to become a nice rivalry, not quite like the Campers and the Jackets (these two seem to really despise each other), but a very nice rivaly. I really enjoyed the class both teams showed in the district finals last year.
