Let us make that the last transfer interpertation comment and keep the discussion strictly to 2008 Williamsburg.

Regardless of interpretations of the transfer rule. I do believe that Coach Herron will not put a lot of stock in players that might not be there. I know Coach Herron and he will work with the kids that he can count on to be there in the fall. Most of those kids have been in the Williamsburg School System for a number of years and are true Yellow Jackets. A outsider coming in will have a hard time fitting into the Yellow Jacket fold.

Yellow Jackets 8-2 this year! Regular season! Possibility of the first region title ever! Hopefully 6 or 7 district title. I think Campbellsville will have a lot to say about that, along with the neighbors from the north Lynn Camp

Reguardless of all this transfer stuff, Williamsburg has a real nice team returning for 2008. I am sure Jerry wouldn't trade any of these returning players for unproven players. Williamsburg has some real winners on that team. What a battle it will be during week #7 at the "Burg".

Coach Herron certainly has a way of bringing out the best in his players. He expects alot out of them, not only on the field but in the community and most of all in the classroom.

I would say anyone who is willing to come in work hard and make better of themselves would be welcomed as a Jacket. That is usually not the case though and you are right, we take great pride that most of our kids are with us for the full 13 years.

I know that Coach Herron teaches the team concept and unselfishness. Certain kids and parents can fit into that, and some cant. Part of Williamsburg success is is base on its team chemistry and love for the school. Coach Herron needs to make sure that it stays intact to continue their success.

Can some of you Jacket faithful give us a rundown of next years schedule and how the Jackets will fare against each opponent.

Frankfort- This will be a great early test for the Jackets. Frankfort should be a very fast team.

 

McCreary Co.- Last year the Jackets had trouble stopping Watts and he should give the Jackets all they can handle.

 

Bath Co- Should be very good. Very athletic, and play physical coverage. This was a very good game that ended in a redzone stance last year. This will be a very good ball game.

 

 

Madison Southern- both teams were young last year and should be a good match up

 

Campbellsville- This should be a great match up. I hope it is as good as the playoff game between the two.

 

Lynn Camp- Annual rivalry game and District game. These two teams do not like each other and is usually interesting.

 

The Jackets will also play Clinton Co. and Pineville. The Jackets will have to pick up two more games, from where they played the Harlan Co. schools last year. I know they have filled the games but I do not know who they are yet.

I look forward to seeing the Jackets fight for a district Chamionship. The do a great job for a small school staying competitive. If they can stay away from injuries they should be really fun to watch.

I think Williamsburg is playing Harlan, which is a good rivalry to continue for both schools.
