Bishop Brossart V/S Mason County(MCIT)

This game 1 Saturday night at the Fieldhouse.Whats everyones take,Looks like Brossart is playing some serious D with there lopsided win over Bracken.

I think most know what the outcome of this game will be. Brossart did play good against Bracken Co, but I'm not biting on this one.

I wasn't suprised by the score of brossarts game tonight. They played a very weak Bracken team. Mason actually being well rested for this tournament will roll over Brossart by 30 or more.

Brossart plays good D i look for it to be closer than this.

True they do play pretty good defense but they just have no answer for Darius Miller(like most teams in the state). The only answer for him would be to double or triple team him which will open up Middleton and Setty. Even if they do well to slow down Mason's "Big 3" they still will only keep them in the mid to high 60's and I just havn't seen them be productive on the offensive end against strong teams. I just don't see brossart holding it close in this one.

Mason by 25+ WAY to much for Bishop.

Brossart isn't in the business of scoring lots of points and they need to be to seriously threaten the Royals. This game gets out of hand early. Miller and co. take off the 4th quarter to start cleaning upstairs for Sunday's final so they don't get too rusty.

We prefer to be called Brossart. I agree with your assessment about the game though.

Our wins this season are against Silver Grove, Erlanger Lloyd, Pendleton County, Calvary Christian, Augusta, Dayton, and Bracken County - with the exception of Pendleton County, all Class "A" schools.

While we continue to improve on a daily basis this is where we are right now. Mason County is in a different stratosphere than our rebuilding Mustangs this year. It would be unrealistic to expect us to play toe-to-toe with the globe trotting Royals.

With that being said, we will show up Saturday night, accept the challenge, play to the best of our ability, let the chips fall where they may, and then move on to continued preparation for the upcoming 10th Region All "A" in quest of a regional "A" title and a return to Richmond to defend our State Title.

I doubt that it will throw a major pall over our season if we would come up short to the Royals on Saturday.

I can assure you those kids are not intimidated out there at Brossart. Overmatched, certainly but they are probably looking forward to matching up against a team we can very likely expect to see playing in the State Finals this year. Not to mention an All American swing guard who will be playing in Rupp Arena next season. Good Luck Stangs.

Brossart will play hard as always, but obviously don't have the talent that they have had in years past.

Mason County 69

Brossart 49

Mason Co. by 25+. They are too strong and too deep.

Mason Co. 79-56.
