Simon Kenton has a 3 junior pitchers that could have a very good season. Cox, Greiss, and Thornsburg. Thornsburg did not throw until late last season, he had shoulder surgery before the season and the coaches would not throw him. He has pretty good stuff and is looking forward to getting back on the mound. They are all 3 big kids, Cox is 6', Greiss is 6'5", and Thornsburg is 6'2".

SK only lost 2 starters from last years region runner up team. They have 10 seniors and 9 juniors. They might make some noise this year.

I hear Allen "Chuck Wagon" Smith from beechwood should have a very good season. He is around 6'6 and word around town is that he throws in the high 80's.

Thornsburg 6'2"???? Wow he must have shot up about 3 inches in the last week since i saw him at practice. Its amazing how fast kids grow these days.

Out of this group I saw Greiss pitch and he looked good. The real impact at pitcher for SK will come from Jacob Robinson, I saw him pitch a lot this summer and he has real good stuff. I definitely think SK should be a favorite in their region.

I only saw him pitch once last year in the JV regional semi's versus Ryle. He looks like he will be a good pitcher in coming years. On this particular day he didn't get a ton of help defensively and was hit hard at times. Ryle mercy ruled Beechwood 10-0.

I don't think so. With Beechwood's staff, I don't he'd pitch much at all. If he does, I would consider it a bad sign for the others at Beechwood from whom much is being expected.

He will pitch behind Cody Elliot, Steve Hadden, Zac Larimore, Nate Snyder, and A.J. Smith.

That does sound like Beechwoods lineup. It is a very good lineup with Elliot as your number 1 starter. Also A.J. "Chuck Wagon" Smith is a person to watch out for in this lineup there has been a lot of talk about him in the pre- season. Hope it falls threw and he has an excellent season.:thumb:

The Chuck Wagon is a very solid player. But on any given day one of these pitchers could turn it on and contend with any team. Beechwood also has a very good hitting team with Elliot Miller Gohs Slusher and Morris crushing the ball.

So these pitchers W column will hopefully be filled up due to the runs being scored.

Michael Ogden of Owen Co. has 17 wins, 166 innings pitched, and 213 K's in 3 years. He should dominate this year.

How come no one is talking about Nate Snyder he had a good season last year and could be an impact this spring in how far Beechwood goes.

Yes he is a very solid player but Chuck Wagon is going to lead the team.
