While the big school gyms are nice facilities, the routine game-to-game crowd gets swallowed up and the places feel barren.

 

The smaller gyms have a much better atmosphere and give you that "big crowd- big game" feel night after night.

 

Play a freshman game or girls game in both style gyms and tell me which has the better atmosphere?

The Hickory gym itself was the one I was referring to that is in Knightstown. A lot of the game action was at Brownsburg, and then of course the championship game was at Hinkle fieldhouse where the Butler Bulldogs play. Now hinkle is a great old facility to see a game in. Was recently at a top 9th region game in the Boone county gym and it wasn't even close to full. The week before I was at a game in SE Indiana in a gym that holds 3000, and it was standing room only. Where are the fans at for the Kentucky schools?
