January 1, 200818 yr Pitino pretty much just called this years team the dumbest that he's ever had. He said they're good guys, but don't understand the scouting reports and don't listen in the huddle.
January 1, 200818 yr Really losing at home to a team that hasn't won a road game in over a year? Preseason top 5 to what now? They didn't get the football thing either till the season was over:walk:
January 1, 200818 yr Pitino pretty much just called this years team the dumbest that he's ever had. He said they're good guys, but don't understand the scouting reports and don't listen in the huddle. They do take ALOT of bad shots and get alot of stupid fouls.
January 1, 200818 yr They do take ALOT of bad shots and get alot of stupid fouls. He talked more about defense. In timeout they talked about not guarding the high post and sticking with UCs perimeter players. And they did the opposite, sloughing in on the post and giving up the perimeter. Coach Pitino sounded pretty flabbergasted.
January 1, 200818 yr Author 9 boards still it looked like in the box score... I'll take that from him right now... Overall I am really impressed with UC lately... you can see the young guys are learning... He's huge, and has started to learn how to position himself a lot better of late. I was most impressed with his two boards late where he put a body on Padgett and got the ball clean...
January 1, 200818 yr I wouldn't say the basktball team has collapsed at all. As of now, yea, bigtime.
January 1, 200818 yr Really losing at home to a team that hasn't won a road game in over a year? Preseason top 5 to what now? They was overated to start the season and are really disapointing right now but far from a total collapse. There 9-4 and have alot of games left.
January 1, 200818 yr UC played great and wanted more than the Cards. I hope the last play isn't what Rick drew up in the huddle. Because if it is he should be slapped. If Sosa did his own thing then he should be slapped. Horrible and unacceptable is all I can say.
January 1, 200818 yr Author Vaughn ended up having a nice game GT, and UC won... He made some huge shots down the stretch. Still pretty pumped about this one...
January 1, 200818 yr I didnt realize that UL was falling like this. First the football team is terrible after pre-season national title talk. And now the basketball team goes from bein top 5 to top 100. On a better note, it seems UC is actually starting to play. However its nothing like the UC in Huggins era when they were feared by opponents, but they are starting to put together nice play and cashing W's. Congrats UC on a nice road win and confidence booster
January 1, 200818 yr He made some huge shots down the stretch. Still pretty pumped about this one... I would be too. This is a good win that will really help those kids out...
