In the words of Herm Edwards, "You play to win the game." I have no idea what Augusta was playing for. If you even want to call that playing. It was an absolute embarassment that people won't soon forget. I guess we'll see how much it really matters when Augusta and Brossart tip off the games tomorrow at 3.

You almost always hear something along the lines of "Don't worry, __________ (fill in the blank) will be jsut fine come tourney time."

 

For example, when Brossart loses a late lead against St. Pat to lose by a point, it makes sense that things can be corrected.

 

But when a team is beaten by 42 on a neutral court by a team that, on paper, they should be able to play with, is it realistic to say "they'll be all right in late February or early March."? One thing I will say, and is that the loyal Augusta BGPers are calling them as they see them tonight.

This was just an old fashion butt whipping!! Never a game from the start. Looked like Deming was having a shoot around. Augusta just went through the motions.

 

Nice team play from Deming. Alot of nice assists tonight and balanced scoring. Everyone who played for the Devils scored tonight. I heard someone say the they had 4 in double figures. Good Job and go take it to the Saints tomorrow night!

Deming outplayed Augusta from tip off too the last buzzer.

 

Augusta shot 23% from the field for the game and 21 rebounds as a team. The Panthers looked to me like they did not even want to be on the floor. I would see someone like Mason Co. bringing us behind the wood shed like this. I would never had thought it would be that big of a victory for Deming.

 

 

The Panthers had better come out with a bit of fire tomorrow after a miserable showing like they had tonight. Show some Pride boys and play like you want to win.

 

Dustin Staggs did play with fire and should be commended on his effort he never quit. He showed alot of heart, I hope the team and coaching staff can follow his lead.

The Black Devils played a good team game tonight. Hope they can doin it again tomrrow.

I agree. This is also the same Deming team that only beat Augusta by 2 or so earlier on this season.
