Mr.Rk and I did our marriage instructions at Christ the King in Lexington. We had never been there before and I can't explain the feeling I got when I walked into it for the first time. I wasn't Catholic at the time but for some reason this church spoke to me. Over the years we would attend CCK whenever we were in Lexington. A few years ago I converted and it was at CCK that I attended the Rites of Election and it was, outside of my marriage ceremony, the most moving experiences of my life. I think it was the past April that we just happened to be in Lexington and decided to go to CCK for mass. The service we attended was actually the service that they did their confirmation at. It was such a delight to be a part of it and you can imagine my surprise when, out of all the hundreds of people there, we were asked to bring up the gifts. This was the first time either one of us had ever taken the gifts up. So it seems that God has made this church a special church for both of us.

:thumb: I go to UK but I make the trip to Christ the King as much as I can. It is much better than any of the others around here.

I love visiting Southeast Christian in Louisville. LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT!

I have also enjoyed services at Fellowship of Believers in Florence but I think they may have a new name now.

The Vineyard in Cincinnati is easily my favorite.

We've moved around so I've been to quite a few.

1. Louisa United Methodist (church I grew up in a quite a special place). We are building a new church and have raised over 1.5 million dollars this past year with only around 120 people in the church. It is a special place. The population here is 2,000 and the other day at our upward basketball game we had 150 kids there.

2. I think it was the Christian church in Shelbyville. We started going before we moved from there and it was just amazing! They had to build on and before we left they were making plans to build more. There were special things going on there.

3. Northeast Christian in Louisville. It's off 22 and is a solid church!

4. Crossroads Christian out Todd's Rd in Lexington. It is very laid back but I enjoyed our time there and the fellowship. The music was always really good too when we were there. It is a lot more modern but I enjoyed it.

Most of my friends were Catholic when I was growing up in my hometown so I usually attended church with them. I loved going to mass. It was always a very spiritual and moving experience and I was always welcomed with open arms even though basically everyone in the church (it was small) knew I was not Catholic. I actually considered converting to Catholicism several years ago but decided to remain the generic Christian I am today.

Mary Queen of Heaven in Erlanger. Father Rick Wurth is one of the few priests that truly inspires me and gets me to think(and doesn't cause my mind to wander to such topics as "did I finish my expense report"). His engaging style s/b taught in the seminary. His talk on time and talents s/b filmed and shown at all Catholic institutions.

 

I'm not even a parishoner there but I believe in his approach so much that they get my financial support.

I cannot tell you the name of Church. But it was with my youth group we went on a Youth Mission to Grand Rapids, MI. We Stayed at a few churches while we worked on Missions. But it was a Christian Reform Church.

 

There was another one we went to for Sunday Services and was recognized for our Missions..

All these were wonderful places.

Raceland First Baptist, Raceland, Ky. ...... I was Saved there, Baptised there and was Married there all by the same Pastor. That Pastor now is no longer at that church so I have not been there like I should. I know that we should not feel that way but it is just not the same.

 

I have also attended and like the Raceland Christian Church, Raceland, Ky. Actually I grew up in that church and most of my family attend there and still do.

Years ago I was invited by a friend to the Baptist Church and I really liked it so I started going there, was Saved and became a member.

 

Both the Raceland First Baptist and the Raceland Christian Churches are great churches with wonderful people.

I haven't been able to attend my church for the past month due to knee surgery and have been watching the Southland service on 36. He is a very effective speaker and I have enjoyed tuning in.

I know I already reply but Whitehouse Church is where I was Saved and Baptised there will always be something special there for me... The Pastor was Ellis Hamilton.. He is also gone on to another church

I know exactly what you mean. As I said about the chuch that I was saved , baptised and married in I know that although I heven't been there in some time that there are any number of people that I could call on if I needed anything at all. Including the pastor that I spoke of, he is no longer there but he will always be a great friend to Mrs. Rambler and myself and I know that I could call on him anytimme.
