December 3, 200718 yr I think Cincinnati got the shaft, as well. The only shaft UC got was self inflicted. Bad L's to UL and Pitt and an awful Bowl travel history teamed with bad Big East bowl tie-ins spelled doom. I put together a party bus to the Bowl game, so I'll have a good time...
December 3, 200718 yr Illinois has no business in the BCS IMO. So let's see. The 3 remaining teams were Illinois, Arizona State, and Boston College. I'll take Illinois over ASU or BC.

I can't believe they beat Cincy or WVU. The good news for the rest of the Big East is that Wannstedt will remain the coach, now!
December 3, 200718 yr So let's see. The 3 remaining teams were Illinois, Arizona State, and Boston College. I'll take Illinois over ASU or BC. I would take either over Ill. I would go with ASU,BC, then ILL.
December 3, 200718 yr I would take either over Ill. I would go with ASU,BC, then ILL. You would take Boston College over Illinois? Seriously?
December 3, 200718 yr You would take Boston College over Illinois? Seriously? Flavor of the week. He was pretty down on BC when they were #2...
December 3, 200718 yr I would take either over Ill. I would go with ASU,BC, then ILL. BC lost 3 out of their last 5, they played themselves out of the BCS, and ASU has exactly 1 win over a team with a winning record.

December 4, 200718 yr I think Missouri got the biggest shaft.... That one baffled me. How do you get knocked out of the BCS by Kansas. The team you beat the week before.
December 4, 200718 yr Author That one baffled me. How do you get knocked out of the BCS by Kansas. The team you beat the week before. Don't forget they also beat Ill! Mizzo alone this year is enough for a playoff system in my eyes!
December 5, 200718 yr Don't forget they also beat Ill! Mizzo alone this year is enough for a playoff system in my eyes! Missou would have gotten in over Illinois, were it not for the 2 teams from 1 conference rule.
December 5, 200718 yr Author Missou would have gotten in over Illinois, were it not for the 2 teams from 1 conference rule. Didn't realzie that one. Thanks for pointing that one out. It's still pretty sad when you beat a team to go to your confrence championship, lose in that championship then watch the team you beat to go to the championship leap frog you because they didn't earn the right to play! Mizzo will go down in history as one of the biggest shafted (is that a word:lol:) teams!!!
December 5, 200718 yr Place your choice here: 1. Mizzo: They were #1 last night but had to play a confrence championship game something a team like Ohio State didn't have to do. The only time they lose is to Okl who is a BCS team. They beat Kansas pretty easy yet Kansas is in the BCS and they aren't! 2. USC/Okl/Georgia I don't know that anybody is playing any better than these 3teams right now. We will never know if they could have won it all! 3. Hawaii: I don't think they are the best team in the nation but they went undefeated! OSU is in the championship game with 1 loss vs a schedule that isn't much better. I can agree with #1 certainly and also can see your point on #2 especially with Okla. amnd UGA. I could add Va. Tech on that group as well.
