Personally, I think this will be a close game. LSU will have a difficult time running the ball against OSU. And OSU will have a difficult time doing much of anything against LSU.

 

I think LSU will win, but something along the line of 17-10.

 

IMO, the only advantage that OSU has over LSU is the coach. I truely think Miles is a game day retard. He has made bad decision after bad decision all year long, and somehow managed to squeek by. If this game comes down to coaching, LSU may be in trouble.

All of this does not change the fact that the respective teams that they pull for just flat out were not good enough to be in the title game due their own failures / losing to unranked/lesser teams. Put OSU down all you want - the Buckeyes will be playing for the National Title and nothing is going to change that while your failures are sitting at home watching.

If OSU is to win they need Wells to be 100%. LSU has some banged up guys as well. I am saying this year it actually might help some.

 

While I agree that some layoff will help (as far as injuries healing some) I think that there is too much of a layoff between games for both teams. JMO and both teams will have to deal with it.

I think you are confused about people feeling that Their teams should be playing in the NT, and that OSU shouldn't. The OSU football team will have every motivating factor that you can imagine between now and the game, and we will simply see if they were overated once again. On a side note, we will also get ample opportunity to see if the SEC being a superior conference to the big ten will hold up this season as well. IMO, it will and OSU will be shown to have been at least a three loss team if they were in the SEC.

It's gonna be another boring title game to watch.. LSU Big.

Who knows how this game will turn out? You just can't tell about bowl games when teams have been out of action for a month or longer.

 

Seriously though, Ohio State hasn't played a team even close to LSU, IMO. I think that's going to be a huge advantage for the Tigers in this game.

 

The Big Ten was just way down this year, and that was no fault of OSU. They did what they had to do. They're as deserving as anyone else in this crazy year. (My personal opinion is that USC, Oklahoma and LSU are all better than the Buckeyes, but OSU only has one loss). LSU has played a far superior schedule, so they're not going to be surprised by OSU. However, it's possible that the Buckeyes will be a little overwhelmed by LSU's talent and athleticism after the schedule they've played.

 

The logical part of me says that LSU should win by at least a couple of touchdowns. But, there is another part of me that says Ohio State is going to be really motivated after the loss they suffered last year...part of me thinks about how LSU under Miles sometimes doesn't play up to their potential...part of me remembers how Tressel took an inferior team and beat one of the greatest college teams ever assembled (Miami)...so I just can't completely write the Buckeyes off just yet.

Look at the matchups. I believe both of those Big10 victories were higher ranked teams (ie #3 Big10 vs #5 SEC or something like that).

Capital One and Outback. Both conferences had 2 teams in the BCS, so I believe that makes it the Capital One was Big 10 #3 vs SEC #3 and Outback was #4 vs #4.

That's why people are putting OSU down, because they didn't EARN it. They got where they are by default. A weak conference, a weaker OOC schedule and no conference title game doesn't sound like the resume of a national title contender.

First of all, I am glad that you know what I mean and are reading my mind - LOL.

They EARNED it by Winning football games...............period. They did not "back" into it bc other teams were flat out not good enough.

Ohio State can only control what they do, not what all the other "wannabe's" do.

The others back up their case by finger pointing and talking and.....

The only holes that were shot were by the teams and their fans that claim to be good enough and their play proves different. Yet, some still try to cover up thier own failures by putting another down, whatever works I guess - LOL
