November 30, 200718 yr I can't express how happy I am that UofL won this game. A great way for Brohm to end his career as well as Harry and the game winner by Art that just barely snuck in was a phenomenal end to the game. I couldn't be prouder of the way they fought their way back into this one. This was just another glimpse of the great team that is still lurking around somewhere and reconfirmed my eagerness for an even better season next year.
November 30, 200718 yr Is there any possibility of a UL bowl game now? About 1% chance they go to a bowl.
November 30, 200718 yr Sorry I have to post this again but what is the word were the UL fans doing storming the field. Will someone that was there tell how many it really was because it was hard to see they cut away from it. I just got back, and it was a large part of the crunch zone, as they seem to do it a lot. I did not storm the field, as I don't believe in it. This game is an exception, I am glad some fans decided to. You see, this game was like a synopsis of Louisville's season as a whole. When it started there was so much build up and excitement, and then a let down, and more let downs, then some flashes of brilliance, followed by more letdown, and then it finished in a crescendo....the season as a whole was a disappointment, but there were some real positives to come out of this game, and the cupboard doesn't look so bare. It is pretty cool to have been there to watch Brian throw his last high school, and likely his last college throws....I am pleased as a Louisville fan right now.
November 30, 200718 yr Art Carmody made NCAA history tonight by scoring the most field goals by a kicker - not to mention that it was his first field goal that actually was a game winning kick. To clarify, Art Carmody is the HIGHEST SCORING player in NCAA football history.
November 30, 200718 yr I don't know if they will go to a bowl or not. I do know if there are some spots, they still show as an attractive choice for an at large. I do hope they go bowling, these seniors deserve one more shot. If they don't get it, I am OK with that as well.
November 30, 200718 yr To clarify, Art Carmody is the HIGHEST SCORING player in NCAA football history. That's what I thought it was as well but everything I've read online since I got back form the game said that he's the scoring leader for kickers. I'm a little confused now.
November 30, 200718 yr ^ again, I am against storming the field, however with the disappointment of this season, and this game, then the turnaraound, and the win to be mostly due to Louisville's amazing seniors, it is almost excusible.
November 30, 200718 yr Glad to see Brohm go out as a winner. Seems like a kid with nothing but class. Doozed off late in the third and just woke up for a middle of the night baby feeding and saw the score scroll across the ticker. Storming the field in this one is a bit cheesy, but I'm sure Kragthorpe will use this as fodder heading into next year. The UL fans have practically crucified him. Best of luck to the UL seniors.
November 30, 200718 yr Glad to see Brohm go out as a winner. Definitely. It was an exciting game to watch, I thought Rutgers had it to be honest. I really am happy that Louisville won it though. Congratulations guys...
November 30, 200718 yr I gained more respect for Brohm last night. Tucking it and getting what he could several times to keep drives alive.
