mhighfield Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Rough game for the Polar Bears. Bears just arent a very good team this year period.
AHSPanther23 Posted November 30, 2007 Author Posted November 30, 2007 Bears just arent a very good team this year period. I agree with you. Next game for Bracken is: Home Bourbon County December 4th For Dayton: Home SCPA Ohio December 5th
SkipToMyLou Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 This will be a tough year for the Polar Bears but I'd tell the kids not to get discouraged and just to go out and play their game no matter what the outcome is.
greendevil Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Great opening game for the Greendevils... 25 for sophomore Eastin, and rounded out a double double with 12 boards. Also 13 from sophomore Lovell. Good job by a lot of role players also, helping pull away in the second half when Eastin and senior PG Chris Young went out with fouls... With a lot of young talent, all looks to be good with Dayton basketball for the next few years... Bracken has some talent, and didn't play that bad, and played a close game even up til halftime. They were doing well on the inside with big #55 working for position, but as the Devils shooters got hotter, the Polar Bears seemed to go away from the inside game and try to match the devils shot for shot, which proved to be a tough task tonight. Kinda went away from their game a little bit there, and then started losing there heads in the last couple minutes. When the half courters are falling though, its a pretty good indication is going to be a long night...
Hamilton Joe Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Congrats to the GreenDevils and to Coach Dilts. I hope this is the 1st of many.
Quagmire Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 The Polar Bears did not look good at all tonight but lucky for them and Augusta, who also lost their season opener, they've got a whole season ahead to right the wrongs. I also think it's way too early to decide teams' fates, good or bad. When graduation takes lots of talent from a team it thrusts kids into positions they've never been in and that can take time to get used to. All of these regular season games are prep for March. And if you can hit your stride then, ANYTHING can happen!!
bigblueinsanity Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Ouch, I picked BC. Polars Bears did lose alot to graduation though.
All In Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Don't know if they started or not last night but Coach Fite needs to get plenty of minutes or even starting time to 2 freshman(Cummings and Jefferson). Hopefully the boys team won't be like the girls and play(start) upperclassman over more talented and basketball experienced freshman and sophomores.
Hoops111 Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Good win for Dayton. I'm impressed. I did think they were going to have much this year. I don't care who you are playing 25 and 12 is solid for a sophmore.
Polar Cat Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 Andrew Cummins did start for Bracken and scored 19 points and pulled down 9 rebounds.

Devilman Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 Hang in their Polar Bears, Don't give up.:thumb:
