How much weight can the BGP members lose???

Featured Replies

You only need to cut calories by 500-1000 per day to lose a substantial amount of weight over time. 1000 calories is extremely too low. I'm 6''0 about 170 pounds and my recommended daily intake is around 2,600 calories. If I needed to lose weight I'd try to take in somewhere around 2,000 calories. 1000 cal/day cannot be healthy. If you consistently stay around 1800 to 2000 calories you'd be just fine.

I think each person is different being the 2,000 was not working for me.

I will hit the scales the day before Thanksgiving to see how much I have dropped while doing this.

I was 225 the day I started this. I am using a scale at one of the gyms I workout at.

If you're at 225 I think 1,800 to 2,000 is even a little low. Depending on your height and how much physical activity you get would determine where you need to be calorie wise.

Check that out. I did it for a 50-year old, 6 foot tall, 225 lb., male that works out around 30-60 minutes per day on average. Diet plan and recommended calories to gradually get to a healthy weight is 2,600.

I stay around 2000 a day and have dropped about 10lbs in a month. I've worked out a little, but not as much as I need to. I've cut beer out almost totally of my diet, it's been rough.

Like I said doing the 2,000 was not working along with working out.

After my 30 days are up I will report back.

Thanksgiving I will count to see how much I really eat and then add one more day to give me 30 days being under 1,0000. According to a web site I use I should be between 202 and 206 after five weeks.

After I weigh in I am going to see how close I am to that weight and then do it for five more days to give me 35 days(five weeks).

Do you have a link to the website?

Instead of doing such a harmful crash diet plan, you should, instead, find a more subtle and livable plan, which you can stick with over the long term.

If you get to the end of the 30 days without making any changes in the way you eat or your activity level, I guarantee you will rapidly put the weight all back on...and then some. Yo-yo dieting is really hard on the body, and usually leads to overall weight gain. Better to make small changes, a little at a time.

I usually keep the count at 2,000 or lower allowing myself one free day a week or one every two weeks.

After I do this I will see where I am then I will adjust the 2,000 count or below that I stick to.

I did 13 days in a row dropped 4 pounds

Took four days off for Thanksgiving weekend

2 of those days I was still under a thousand twice

Over 2,500 one day with the other day being under 2100

I then go back and do this again for four days then I go and weigh in to see I have put four pounds back on.

This did not work for me.

My fat grams average per day for this period was under 30.
