This is a toughie. If you take the best 40 players from Trinity and St. X and the best 40 from all of Lexington, let them both practice as a team for a year, who is the better team? Comparing previous games between teams is a waste of time. It's meaningless. This is more like an all-star game and while X and T may have more talent per team, Lexington has a much larger pool to choose from. I'd be willing to bet it would be fairly close, giving X&T the slight edge just for playing with familiar teammates.

If X/T lost, could they claim that the playing field was not level because of the size of the Lexington team? Would they? I doubt it.

You have every right to that opinion but I can promise you that if I got to pick (of course with RP as my consultant:sssh:) the coach and the players for the Louisville team...we would win!! :ylsuper::ylsuper::ylsuper:

Just think about TaShawn McBroom, Brian Brohm, the Dutton twins, Superman, Victor Anderson, and Deuce. Vince Phillips to block, Karl-Heinz Williams and Tydlacka.....what about Dan Bick, Justin Jeffries, DJ Hall, Nick Heuser, Sam Roby, Wes Weitlauf, Jordan Whiting, Blake Nix,

the names really go on, and on, and on.....

My dream staff:

Head Coach: Bob Beatty

OC: Andrew Coverdale and the rest of the Trinity staff

DC: give it to X. Glaser could carry the broom and the umbrella in case it's dirty or raining ;) j/k

We certainly wouldn't....but I also feel that we would win the game, because of coaching, and "knowing how to win".

What if all the schools in Louisville formed an "all-star" team to play T/X? Would those results be any different than Lexington?

^ It would depend on who coached them...

The thing is that T and X are more or less all "Role Player" teams. While it is true that they are in reality all star teams of the CSAA, the CSAA doesn't have the same level of athleticism as the optimist and public schools do. Sure occasionally there is a Brian Brohm or a Victor Anderson, but they are exceptions rather than the rule. I will also concede that there MAY be more talent on the offensive and defensive lines at X and T than the combined public schools.

Any All Star team would have a difficult time defeating and All Role player team. However there is no doubt in my mind that there is more talent in the public schools.

Anybody care to create a roster for both super teams?

And anyone can get suspended for stepping over the line.

We'd have to let Vince run it a few times, I loved watching him run over people. :D
