Anything can be said about the cannon, stadium, announcer, etc.. But Lincoln clearly shut down JC's offense after some adjustments, they deserve some credit. There is no need to knock Lincoln County on such petty things, they did win.

I think you are dead on with that statement, MGE. Lincoln deserves all the credit in the world for their accomplishments and nobody wants to read the petty comments that are taking shots at them and their program.

 

I wanna hear about the FOOTBALL, the GAME, how it was won or lost and who made it happen. I couldn't give a flip about how bad the concession stand lines were or how far away you had to park, etc.

 

Maybe its just a defense mechanism born out of frustration to take shots like that and voice petty complaints. But from where I sit, it is weak and meaningless and I'd much rather see fans just give credit where credit is due and move on.

 

And before I get pounded, let it be known that I am a Johnson Central fan and I was pulling hard for them to win. They have an incredible thing going on there and I have many friends on that side (and sideline). Their fans are great and I hurt for them right now.

What was the final of that game Network? 34-13? Can't remember....I was too busy with my ball boy obligations. :lol:

You are so right about making adjustments by coaches. I had this conversation Friday night with someone and we talked about how Marty would make a seemingly simple halftime adjustment and the game would be over after that.

 

I put French and Jaggers right there together as far as in-game adjustments go. Phillips was a great coach and program builder but if the game didn't go as scripted, then it was a bad night.

From what I heard the Pride and Excitement of LC football was at an all time high friday night in Death Valley. Going back to the 90s when you had to park along HWY 27, all the Alumni that were there!!! Anyone have a rough attendance figure? GO PATS

If the turn out Friday night was an "all time high" then I am dissapointed. Lincoln Co. had a decent amount of fans but not an overwhelming amount. Probably in the 1,000-1,500 range. A program that has had the success the last 2 seasons like Lincoln Co. has should have alot more people out than what I saw Friday night. I was expecting a huge crowd considering alot of the local schools like Danville, Boyle, Mercer, Pulaski, etc werent playing.

Yeah, the crowd was not too good. There have been more people there during regular season games. I saw many people there from surrounding counties, but not as many as I expected.

Weather and travel probably played a big factor. Hopefully people will get on board for next week.

We were given memos last week to correct pa announcers for tactics such as this. Not sure why the officials in this contest did not do something about a statement that was a directive to them. As officials, this could have resulted in 15 yards against the home team. Typically we give a warning but when it is a direct toward officiating, I would question why they did not throw it.....?

Another one, I remember was the win over Bowling Green at WKU in 1992. I don't remember the exact score at halftime but it was close and the Pats blew the Purples out in the 2nd half.I remember BG scored on the last play of the game to make it respectable.

I am glad to hear that, someone needs to show this to the administration at Lincoln County. Something needs to be done the PA man there, he is damaging to the program.

In the Paintsville Herald. Just the Senior kid as I mentioned before talking to and consoling a Younger JC football Player. I have never seen it before.

 

I just think this is Nice of the Lincoln Co. Player shows great respect to the other team.
