I have seen both teams, including having seen JH & BG two weeks apart. John Hardin is good, but didn't strike me as nearly as good as Bowling Green. The only advantage I'll give the Bulldogs is that they're at home. I will take the Purples by 21.

I will predict that BG wins it 138-136 in 15 OTs and that this game will be so draining that they will see the effects the following week with Owensboro pulling off the win to go to Papa John's. LOL Just kidding! I wish I could be at 2 places at once because this has the potential to be a really good game as will next weeks game if the Red Devils beat Oldham Co. could setup and renew the old time rivalry between the Purples and the Red Devils. It must be nice for Highlands to have #2,#3 and #4 in the opposite end of the bracket beating each other up. I just hope whoever comes out of our side of the bracket goes on to win it all regardless of who it is. BG JH or OHS. I will say BG will win this game but it could be close. Good Luck to both teams and hopefully the Devils will be waiting in the wings!!!!

Bowling Green should win by 18-24 points.

 

The Purples can go by air, land or QB scramble. The defense is typical BG, not going give up more than 14 points in this game.

 

The main comp game I look at here is Warren Central. BG just totally dominated Central twice while JH just won with some comfort.

 

Final should be somewhere 34-14 or 41-14.

I agree with wcj800...the western bracket is considerably tougher! BGHS conceivably has a Murderer's Row to go through to win the brass ring. John Hardin, Owensboro, and Highlands have a combined current record of 35-1!:eek:The only loss was by Owensboro to a Meade Co team that is riding a nine-game win streak! Also, Owensboro and BGHS are old WKC rivals who have been playing each other on and off (mostly on) since 1932! An Owensboro/BGHS game is usually brutal physically and emotionally! That would have to be overcome should either team play Highlands as well.

 

But I'm getting a little bit ahead of myself...the John Hardin Bulldogs await first!!

BG is the hands down favorite. JH will have to play the game of their lives if they want to win. I've heard BG has about 3 or 4 D-1 players on their roster...and very senior dominated. JH has 0 D-1 players on that team and just a handful of seniors. JH too young and inexperienced. BG will likely intimidate them early. BG takes this one....42-20:thumb:

What this team has been through with a loss of a family member who would have starred on this team, football is a piece of cake . They have been through the intimidation of life. Football is easy. John is on a mission. D1, D2 it does not matter who they are playing. They put the pads on the same way that D1AAA kids do. My prediction is after the first 12 minutes, when the teams switch ends of the field, BG will know that the kids from Etown are not backing down. I may be wrong ,but I dont think so. I think whoever wins, it will be close. 28-24. These kids have not backed down all year and they will not Friday night.............Good Luck to Both Teams on a real fine season!!!!

Over the summer JH had a car wash to help out JaMarks family. My 6 year old son and I were dressed head to toe Meade co. I thought my car is not dirty but I should stop. After pulling up , I heard one of the kids say" look at this guy". I am glad that I stopped that day. I talked to the coach that was there and I told him that this could have been one of our kids, and that I am sorry for their lose. After washing my car I joked around that I hope that they go undefeated except fo MC. They told me that they can't help me out there (and they meant it) that they were dedicating the season to the 12th man on the field.

I as a Meade Co. fan, want to say good luck to two teams that deserve to be right where you are. Play a great game and leave it all on the field.
