Awesome start to the season. :ylsuper: With the exception of the Final 4 year, that is something I don't believe UL has done well since Pitino has been back IMO is shoot the 3 well. I still would not call them a great shooting team, but they are very athletic and have great size!
November 17, 200718 yr Author If UL can shoot 45 or 50% from deep, they will be very dangerous...The post play will be there, IMO, and the good shooting will help wonders.
November 17, 200718 yr Fun with stats: T-Will had the triple-double, but Clark also recorded the double-double (10 & 11) and in just 16 minutes Caracter came close (10 & 8.) T-Will had the rebounds and the assists before he had the points (!) and was not only efficient from the field at 50% but superior from deep at 4-6. (!!!) McGee will remember this game for his shooting (6-9 from 3) but Pitino will remember it for his ballhandling (5 assists and only 1 TO.) How often do you see a team shoot so much better from 3 (62.9%) than overall (55.4%)? 28 assists on 65 shots, good passing and good offensive chemistry. These guys play well together.
November 17, 200718 yr No offense UL fans but Hartford is real bad. I wouldn't get caught up in all the stats from this game. Now I do think UL Is very good and can have a great season. I'm just saying.
November 17, 200718 yr They won more than 9 games last year... Seriously, this isn't like it's the first time that Louisville has played a bad team before, but this was a record-breaking performance. This time last year, Hartford lost to #8 and Final Four bound Georgetown 69-59.
