November 14, 200718 yr Feel free to add to this very short list: James Earl Jones (the "people will come" speech in Field of Dreams is a great example). Sam Elliott (been hearing him a lot on commercials lately). Who else, when you first hear their voice, makes you stop and listen? John Wayne, maybe?
November 14, 200718 yr A lot of actors/actresses have extremely recognizable voices so this list could be fairly long. A few that come to mind: Jeff Bridges Robert DeNiro George Clooney Mickey Rourke Al Pacino Gene Hackman
November 14, 200718 yr Charlton Heston Morgan Freeman Burt Lancaster James Earl Jones (probably the greatest) Dennis Haysbert
November 14, 200718 yr Sam Elliott -Which one? I think he means the one that played the Sgt. Major in We Were Soldiers and one of the Earp brothers in Tombstone.
November 14, 200718 yr We need to get deeper beneath the surface. There are lots of voices we have heard hundreds, nay thousands, of times whose names are much less recognizable. Here's one: Hear the voice of 'Piglet' from Winnie-the-Pooh in your head. That was John Fiedler, and he did lots of other voices as well.
November 14, 200718 yr No mistaking Samuel L. Jackson's voice either... Samuel L. makes every movie enjoyable.
