I am picking Whitley Co. 28-23.

Well the young kids pretty much have a season under their belts, so I am going with Whitley in a upset 40-34...

Whitley will roll, 42-31. The first step to winning the district.

I tend to agree with 3wishes, and here are my reasons why......

1. Whitley will have addition in special teams *Wink*

2. To be honest, the above means nothing, it is really just more of a gut feeling, the Colonels are due some good luck.

Ah following my predictions now!!

Everyone is young, for the most part, in the area this year. I agree with you. Others are winning, so the excuse is not really a valid one.

Amen!

I would love for Whitley to win, as I would love for all S\E Ky teams to win. Sorry though I don't see them traveling to Letcher and pulling this one off. Hope I'm wrong.

I have been picking Whitley Co. to win just about every week.........maybe I need to pick against them to change their luck. If they can straighten out their special teams play and hold on to the football they have a good chance to beat the #1 seeded Letcher Central team.

Whitley Co. 22 - Letcher Central 21

Whitley is beginning to sound like a broken record week after week. I can not see them healing or fixing enough things to win on the road at Letcher. I hope for Coach Black's sake they can win, but I will take Letcher 30 Whitley 22.

I'd have to agree.

Compared to us, everybody playing high school football is young.

But in other news, GO COLONELS!

WCHS sneaks one out, 28-24

Last time these two teams played Whitley moved the ball and scored with their offense, while Letcher scored two TD's on Whitley miscues, a fumble and a blocked punt. I am not sure much needs to be fixed, but just a little tweaking wouldn't hurt.

hasn't Whitley had these problems in every game though? I've heard Whitley fans say they lost Mboro, Lynn Camp and all their district games from a few mistakes. At some point if it is just a few mistakes they should have gotten over the hump if that is really all it is.

The mistakes were in the offensive planning in the game at LC. They kept going with what was clearly not going to work against us and kept away from what was working to their advantage. It was a very poorly planned and played game by the Colonels.
