Ditto. Ryle by 10 in a good game. Wish I could see it, but I will be watching my own son play in his first round playoff game.

Both teams have been up & down this season, but Ryle would appear to be the better team overall, and at home. I'll take the Raiders by a couple TD's in a high scoring game!!

SK has one a playoff game?

Although Ryle will have a lot to prove, I think SK believes they have just as much to prove. This team wants to win a playoff game very badly and if their defense can play like they did in the last matchup they will win this game.

I think Simon Kenton will pull it off. I think Ponzer will come out wanting the ball, and I think Pat will give him the ball. Hopp will come out looking to hit people hard, and block well. Simon Kenton 21 Ryle 14!

In a close game, I like Coach Marksberry's coaching ability as a differentiator.

I was meaning an example of a big game situation (playoffs) where coaching won the game for SK. I'm not taking anything away from him but Ryle did go to the state finals last year whereas SK hasn't been out of the first round.

Going to the finals was a great achievement for Ryle.

 

I would caution anyone who uses how far a team advances in the tournament as the basis for judging coaching ability. Ryle's coaches are obviously talented and have had success and will continue to have success. However, if you made me pick, I'll go with Coach Marksberry.

Is the game at 7:30?

By the headline in the KY Post today, "Pioneers War of Ryle" you would think SK was the prohibitive favorite. That seemed odd.

The game time in the paper yesterday said 7:00 p.m. Friday. JD
