November 5, 200718 yr First off, I am not a Michigan fan. But as a fan of Sports, I am very impressed at what Carr has done, considering what went down the first couple weeks. There is still some football to be played, but if this guy isn't in the running for COY, somethings wrong.

November 5, 200718 yr In some opinions he goes from this..http://www.bluegrasspreps.com/showthread.php?t=128543&highlight=Carr to the bolded. The last post in that thread is September 7th. A lot has happened since then. Don't look now, but the Wolverines are ranked 12th in the BCS. If they beat Ohio State in the "Big House" and win the Big 10 title, essentially ruining Buckeye heaven, all will be forgiven. If Carr can engineer that, he deserves COY. However, I would rather see his bashers have a large helping of crow instead.
November 5, 200718 yr Carr has done a great job and he should be in the Coach of the Year running. I don't know if he should be or not. The App. State game was a shocker but the Oregon game wasn't to me really. I would put Kelly from UC ahead of Carr and Oregon and Arizona State's head coaches.
November 5, 200718 yr No way with Kelly...but the other two yes No way with Kelly?? UC was 7-5 last season. I like Kelly and IMO he has to be in the running.
November 5, 200718 yr COY candidates this year: 1 - Mangino - Kansas 2 - Belotti - Oregon 3 - Edsell - UConn 4 - Brooks - UK
November 5, 200718 yr He might be..but he's not winning it...Don't forget about KU coach. But he should be in the race.
November 5, 200718 yr COY candidates this year: 1 - Mangino - Kansas 2 - Belotti - Oregon 3 - Edsell - UConn 4 - Brooks - UK Brooks loss to MSU won't help any unless he can win out. If he does win out and UK goes 9-3 with wins again UGA and UT then he possibly could win it. I don't see UK beating UGA though.
November 5, 200718 yr I think Carr has done OKAY. Its tuff these days to live up to expectations. If Lloyd can FINALLY beat OSU, he will get his due. The man is a decent coach. Im not sure ANYONE can live up to the big house expectations.
November 5, 200718 yr As an Ohio State Buckeye Football fan, let me say that I would love to see and I fully support Lloyd Carr to remain as the Head Football Coach at Michigan.
November 5, 200718 yr Carr has done a great job and he should be in the Coach of the Year running. No way should he be in the coach of the year running...He had a top 5 team in the country to start the year, and lost to a 1AA team and got killed by another team, both games in their own stadium..He shouldn't be rewarded for finally getting this team playing the way it should have to start the season...
