But since our son's played basketball against each other this morning and I had the pleasure of speaking with him, I'm here to confirm GoRadio's head is still fully intact. Great call, my favorites last night,,,,,"dropped him like 3rd period French" or "rode him like a Wal-mart pony!" Truly the best high school broadcast around!

Why do bash everyone at Fairview about the former head coach situation. It is over and done with people need to move on. He is at Ashland having a good time and the Fairview kids have a winning season and going to the playoffs for the first time in 3 years. Be happy and watch some playoff football.

Kevin Brown is one of the finest human beings that I have ever had the honor to know. He cares about and loves all the players mine ,yours , all of them. Best of luck to the Comets.

I don't believe that I heard anywhere or read anything that was bashing the Fairview "Players/Kids". At least I certainly don't remember anyone saying anything about a kid.

As for the other that you referred to... that was hashed out early in the season and in the pre season. Imo everyone has their opinions and knowledge (I know that I do) of what happened and why.

 

I won't go into it any further out of respect for certain individuals involved. I just wanted to say that at no time did I see anyone bashing a kid.

Fairview was in the playoffs in 2005. They finished 5-6 that year and lost to Beechwood in the 1st round of the playoffs. Last year (2006) was the first year they had missed the playoffs since 2001.

Thanks for the kind words doc! Yes my head is still in tact, I do tend to get a little excited. I really don't know where I come up with those sayings, but most people at least get a kick out of them. They are not planned, they just happen and if somebody likes them, I file those away and bring them back out occasionally. The "3rd period french" comment has gotten a lot of response. I don't know, I just have fun guys. When I stop having fun, I will quit broadcasting and start officiating. You know the old saying: those who can do, those who can't do anymore coach, those who can't coach broadcast and those who can't do anything else, officiate!

Hey, you're right... who would have thought that Simon Kenton would have beaten Russell at Russell!?!? But I still say Mason gets the win over West!!:thumb:

I read allot of your post but,I will disagree on this one.

I just re read that one and had looked over it(that comment) :thumb:. I honestly believe that the post was talking abut certain adults in coaching and administration at Fairview and not the Fairview players/kids themselves. Only the person that posted could say that for sure.

I have a lot of friends in Ram town and in Eagle land and I am excited for both teams. This game should be televised .Maybe we can call Mark and talk him into it.:thumb:

Let me clarify a few things for the Fairveiw fans. My comments concerning what happened at Fairview are based on what I read in the Ashland paper. In my opinion it is pretty crappy to get rid of a coach a few weeks before the season. Call it however you want. It sounded to me like he was ran out of the program, especially when they hired a new principal and all. The old coach didn't seem like he wanted to go and they had put together some good seasons as of late. My frustration is with the people who would make a decision like that and not with the players. Maybe there was more going on that I don't know about. It is very possible. Fairview seems to have some good players and I don't wish them bad. I am still for Raceland. GO RAMS!
