Well, I'm just getting back, WOW!!! A good HS football game. West Carter made the plays to win. They deserved the the victory. JS Carver 21 rushes for 141. Rams played hard, not extremely well, but they played hard. Coach Brown has done a nice job with the Comet Football program. Coach Brown did say some nice things about Coach Hoof and he was correct. I was one of the fortunate individuals who has had played for and coached with Hoof. He has been a tremendous influence in my life. Rams don't panic the mistakes are correctable and with a week of hard work and intense practice a little focus you will be ready to go 1-0 next week in the real season. Remember 10 scrimmages down, 5 games to go. Respect your opponents and remember you are never as good as you think you are and you are not as bad as you think are. I'm sure you can accomplish your goals. Lets work hard and get ready for the View in are house next week.

Congratulations to West Carter! I forgot to add that in my previous post. Many of you have eluded to a Russell hangover. No excuses the West team just outplayed us tonight. No if ands or buts about it. Raceland made some big plays and was in a position to win the ballgame. West took advantage of the opportunities which is the sign of a good team. Coach Hoof and the staff will get to work and they will be ready for an extremely tough Fairview team next week. Rams need to look forward because I now have my winter clothes out and I want to use a ton of them every Friday night until December 7th. Week 11 finally felt like football weather.

Looks like MC should have been inspired tonight. But it was a good win for Mason.

Raceland did come out flat and a big turnover for the second score for West Carter did hurt but the penalties at the end of the game really killed Raceland, they had the win and let it slip thur their fingers. Glad to see the Rams throwing the ball down the field tonight good things seem to happen when we throw down the field. Well Rams we have a big game coming up with Fairview friday night at home so lets forget about this one and get ready for the Eagles.

The coaching staff at Raceland will get the guys ready for next week. The playoffs are what the Raceland kids prepare for throughout the season and the off-season. Like BB said, now they have played 10 scrimmages and now they play the "real" games. Yopu could go 10-0 and have a nice season, but what you play for is the post season. Good luck to both teams in the playoffs.

Besides some bruised ego's on the Raceland side. :eek:

The Comets were unstoppable. They ran the ball down Raceland's throat.

 

It is a good thing we don't play Russell next week, because we would run the ball down their throat as well.

We respect the West Carter program as well comet :thumb:. Coach Brown is a class act!.

Trust me I hate to lose but I will give credit where and when it is due. West was the best team on the field on this night. Congrats again and good luck vs. Mason next week. Also, thanks for your good luck wishes to us as well.

 

Just a thought...... you might want to try de caff - LOL, of course that could be something about a pot and kettle. I have been known to get a little fired up on occasins as well. LOL
