The 6-3 Cardinals will visit Princeton Friday night to take on the 7-2 Tigers. First, is anyone else going to be at the game? I'll be there.

Second, what are everyone's predictions?

I'd like to see Mayfield get there confidence back.. I expected Marshall Co to put it on them, but, the Calloway loss took me by surprise and they've been reeling ever since. I do think they outplayed Fulton City after the 1st qtr and except for the last 1:25 of the game.. A win by the Cardinals this week could be the huge confidence boost they need to get em rolling again into the playoffs.. Caldwell is playing very well right now and at home, will be doubly tough.. I'm going with my heart and Mayfield, but, it'll be a very tough ballgame...

I will be there, I will go with the cards this week, from what I heard coach say, Mayfield is getting back to basics, which sounds promising. Mayfield 21 Caldwell 14.

What is going on with Mayfield lately?

Wish I knew...The 1st 6 games of the year, I really thought they had a legit chance to win it all, but, they've really not played well at all the last 3 weeks. The injury to there QB and the suspension of there center and then kicking off there WR didn't help, but, thats not really an excuse. Truth is, they haven't been playing well at all. I expected the loss to Marshall Co and I could even understand losing to Calloway Co, but, not like they did and FCity is a good team, but, Mayfield still should have beat them. I'm glad they're playing a good team this week, because if they can somehow manage to win this game, I think it would do wonders for there confidence and maybe they would start playing again like they did early in the year... Guess we'll see as only time will tell...

Mayfield plays a little better this Friday, but the skid continues against the hot Tigers...

Caldwell County-27

Mayfield-14

Kinda ironic, but if the schedule was the way it use to be Mayfield would be beating Fulton County, Ballard Memorial, and Crittendon and have a toss up with Fulton City. They would more than likely being rolling along somewhat smoother. For the last decade Mayfield has had tough games first, then cakewalk the last 5 games. This year it is reversed with the new scheduling and it has to make u ponder what is of greater benefit.

1.Mayfield loses tough games early, turns it around and is on a winning streak come playoff time!

2.Mayfield rolls through most of its early games and stutters during the middle-late part of the schedule. A losing streak has to have some kind of emotional and mental effect on the Cards.

Hopefully, the Cards can right the ship...

I gotta believe that the Cards will turn it around this week...don't know if it will be enough to win or not...but the Cards desperately need this game to get their MOJO back heading into the playoffs next week against a Crittenden County team that has been playing better as of late. Should be a good game and I am just wondering if the Cards go back to basics...could we see the return of the 2-tight, wishbone set...seems like we have moved the ball really well on the ground using this offense...especially with Armstrong at QB.

I'll go with my heart...Cards 24-21

I think Mayfield might rebound this week and pull what some would consider an upset.

Mayfield 28

Caldwell 21

Not even close.....when Mayfield is at the top of their game, I would put them against any team in the region....but that hasn't been the case the past 3 games. Considering all they have been through this year, i have a feeling that they will return to form and prove all the doubters wrong........

I feel at this point there isn't anywhere to go but up, :thumb:
