October 29, 200718 yr Hold out? I wonder what his legacy as a loser will become if he bolts and NY wins the WS next season? It's definitely a Ewing Theory candidate.
October 29, 200718 yr Here's another question.... Since A-Rod opted out of his Yankees contract, which the Rangers were picking up part of the tab, does he have to repay any of that option, on his original Rangers contract, do the Yankees or do the Rangers, just have to stop paying a portion of it? The Yankees dont get any of the money that was still owed by the Rangers. A-Rod basically just forfeits his contract and saves both clubs money.

October 30, 200718 yr True. ARod has got both teams to the playoffs, he just couldn't help during. The Cubs are the top runners right now. With Piniella as their manager and the bond that those two have. ARod would do well there. Maybe not in the playoffs, but during the season. And with that's the way the Cubs are anyway, they'd be a perfect fit. I'd love to see him in Chicago next year.
October 30, 200718 yr As a Cub fan I would love to have him, our Offensive line up would be absolutely loaded, he would eat up National league pitching, and I dont care if he's never won a world series, because frankly we never get there anyway so he couldn't hurt and I think he can help take the Cubs to the next level
October 30, 200718 yr Why could the Braves not be players in the Arod market? I dont think they are fans of dropping a ton of change on someone
October 30, 200718 yr I dont think they are fans of dropping a ton of change on someone They seemed to be falling down the pecking order in the NL. Both the Phillies and the Mets with the Marlins right on their heels. That does not include them being behind the Padres, Diamondbacks, Rockies and now even the Dodgers and maybe the Cubs, depending what they do this winter. It seems they will want to make some sort of splash and this could be it.

October 30, 200718 yr Torree and Arod could be together in LA! That would be too funny. Especially if they swept the Yankees in the WS.
