The Birds have a very talented So class.

Will Bardo Qb, David Hogue wr, Nick Buten wr, Hunter Schlosser ol-dl, Colin Rosenhagen db and Brian Beck would be playing alot of varsity about anywhere else. Highlands has a lot seniors playing in these position or these kids would be frontline players. These kids are what makes Highlands JV so good.

Williamsburg has a solid soph. class led by Ryan Moses QB-through 8 games he is 164 of 299 for per game 283.0 and 26 TDs. Thus he has 2264 total yards...unnoficially after the Evarts game he is up to 30 TDs and around 2600 yards...KHSAA updates the official stats on Thursdays, so we'll know for sure. He also has a great supporting cast of other Sophomores in Dusty Brown (a leading WR in class 1A), Daniel Pettite (6'4 230 WR putting up solid numbers), Stephen Taylor WR, and Jeremy Collins OL/DL. These kids have been crucial in a season that has seen Williamsburg put up 1441 yards rushing and 2271 yards passing through 8 games. They will only get better over the course of the next two years and through this years playoffs.

#12 Chris Muse the QB for Pulaski CO. He has got a great arm, and the kid is fast as well..I think he is close to 2000 rushing yards, and over that for passing...

 

I saw him in the game against Somerset. He is a beast and his fans are one of a kind

Rockcastle has a few good Sophomores. I don't know which one is the best though, I will allow doodle, Statman, or 3Wishes to post that. I know we have at least 3 sophomores starting, but don't quote me on it.

I will have to say it is a toss up at corbin between #42 Caleb Watkins and #8 Ryan Fritts.

 

Fritts is awfully good, so is Watkins...I would certainly have a hard time picking between the two as well. Fritts seems to have the numbers, but it is a crowded backfield...that happens to be pretty darn talented.

CB Jarvae langford for Murray is tied for the lead in the state for interceptions with 6.

Leslie Co. starts mostly sophomores. There are six that start, 5 on defense. #83 Cody Hensley, #16 Matt Asher, #27 Lance Coots, #25 Dustin Ballard, #59 Casey Jones, and #61 Randen Collett. They're taking their lumps right now, but look out next year and especially the year after. 18 coming in from middle school, alot of talent. All hold backs.

Watkins also plays both sides of the ball and is doing well. He gets fewer rushing carries than Fritts but more receiving opportunities. Those two are clearly play makers and it would be difficult to pick just one.

Ricky Buckler from Bellevue RB/DB doing a fine job this year with over 600 rushing yarda and over 10 touchdowns..

I am going to nominate Eric Shaw from Lafayette High School. He is a slot receiver/defensive back and plays the game very well.

He is a tough kid on both sides of the ball, I dont know which side I am most impressed with.
