Guns are the way I feel about locks , is some one is going to get in your building they are going to get in there and besides I don't keep anything in my out building that I would not give someone. IF someone wants to hurt others they will one way or another. IMO

If these people have conceal-carry permits off campus, why are we worried about not letting them on campus? If someone wants to commit a crime, a permit is not going to stop them. Point being, if they're going to commit a crime with a gun, they're going to commit a crime with a gun.

But many viollent assaults are not pre-meditated. Sometimes, situations get heated, people lose control, and someone gets assaulted. Do you really want to throw a room full of guns into that situation?

Agree. The Columbine type assaults would probably be reduced, but the number of people killed or wounded during heated disputes would go way up. It may not be pc of me, but I've never been a fan of the under 25 brain.

I would think this affects people that carry guns all the time, except when on campus. Not really sure how much it would change those situations.

Bottom line: Someone comes into my classroom with a gun, presently, good chance everyone in my classroom dies.

 

Someone comes into my classroom and I am armed, good chance I can take him down before everyone of us dies.

 

I hate to have to even consider it, but it is a consideration.

But then that's true of anyone that owns a gun. I get your point though about too many young people carrying, but that same person could come back later with a gun and do the same thing.
