Civics Education Outreach

As a teacher for 30 years, Bruce understands the importance of early civic and voter rights education. By the time our youth reach voting age, it is already beyond the time to instill in them the necessity of making their voice heard in the American political process. Once elected, Bruce will make the implementation of an aggressive civics education outreach program to high school classrooms a top priority of the Secretary of State's office. There are many students who by choice or circumstance, do not go to college but are no less entitled to understanding and appreciating the voting process and their rights as citizens.

Protect Voting Rights

As Secretary of State Bruce will work to improve access to the electoral process and protect the rights of all voters. The Hendrickson administration will reduce the number wrongly disenfranchised voters and Kentuckians will have a true public servant fighting for their voting rights.

Reduce Tax Burden on Small Business

Bruce will make the office of Secretary of State an advocate for the issues and concerns of small business owners across the Commonwealth. He will serve small business men and women, who are the backbone of the Kentucky economy, by working with our legislative leaders on both sides of the aisle to pass laws which reflect their needs. Reforming Kentucky’s Elections

As Secretary of State, Trey Grayson is reforming Kentucky's elections to make them more secure, more convenient, and more accessible. The foundation of democracy is free elections, and Trey is getting things done to make our elections the best they have ever been.

Improving Education through Civic Engagement

Trey Grayson is using the Secretary of State's office to improve education by restoring the civic mission of Kentucky schools. Trey believes that in order to move Kentucky forward we must have more citizens taking action to promote the well being of the Commonwealth. Trey has received the endorsement of Kentucky's teachers because of his efforts to improve education.

Strengthening Kentucky's Business Environment

With his election as Secretary of State, Trey Grayson promised to help attract jobs to Kentucky by reforming the business services of his office. Trey is getting things done to keep Kentucky's business environment strong.

Trey Grayson has been a fine public servant. Unfortunately, he is a Republican and he will probably go down due to the weakling at the top of the ticket.

I will be voting for Trey Grayson. I think he has served the state well so far and I don't see that changing. Additionally, I like his stance on removing the "All Republican" and "All Democrat" buttons from voting machines.

Does this surprise anyone?

If Trey Grayson has received the endorsement of the teacher5s's union, that is really amazing. That liberal bunch never supports a Republican. Hendrickson must really be a dud.

This is the one race I am passionate about. I am hosting a fundraiser for Trey on Thursday of next week. He is a fine young man and has done a top-notch job. He essentially created our Secretary of State website, which is an invaluable tool and the tops of its kind in the nation. When the electioneering law of his predecessor was struck down as unconstitutional, he wrote a new law and vetted it and had it passed before the next election cycle in the face of opposition.

What I like about Trey is that he is young and energetic, but straightforward and does not bite off more than he can chew. He is passionate about civics and ethics in the classroom, and has been at every single statewide history day competition. He is a lawyer and regularly teaches corporate and business issues to lawyers at legal seminars around the state. He is accessible, intelligent, personable, and truthful. This is a guy you want to continue serving you. Don't throw him out because you don't like the Governor.

I agree. While I have no intention of voting for either Fletcher or Beshear, I will go to the polls and vote for Mr. Grayson. He has earned reelection.

I got to hang out with Mr. Grayson a few months ago for a few hours at a small private fundraiser where I got to sit down and talk to him one-on-one. Very cool guy and one I am proud to be casting my vote for.

I'd encourage this point of view for anyone who has become disenchanted with the person heading the ticket; whether it be in a local, state or national election.

Had Trey down to Bardstown tonight. Great, unassuming young man. Well-spoken, energetic. Always a pleasure to talk with. Raised a little money for him, sent him on to WYMT over in Hazard.

By the way, the fact that you don't get harrassed at the polls, and also if your children are learning civics in school, is almost single-handedly due to his efforts. What I like about this guy is that he did what he said he was going to do, and has done it well. Treat him well over there in the mountains.

You don't think cooperation from Jonathan Miller didn't help quite a bit? I believed they complemented each other on these particular efforts.

Actually, Grayson is the only candidate of all the candidates running for the various offices that I am excited about.

I work with the SOS office quite often on behalf of my clients and I find the employees there to be very helpful and friendly. After having to deal so often with the loathsome Ky. Department of Revenue you come to appreciate the professionalism of the SOS staff. Also, the SOS website is a very efficient and effective tool if you need to perform research or prepare business organization documents such as Articles of Organization or Incorporation.

Trey is a solid young man. His father and I sit on a board together so I've gotten to know him a little and a finer public servant you won't find. I won't be loyal to my party at the top of the ticket but I darn sure will be in this race. :thumb:
