I think the Cats can hang with the Gators. I just don't see the Florida Gators losing 3 games in a row.

 

I BELIEVE as strong as anyone and I really hope the Cats can pull this one out, but I agree with Big Colonel, I just don't see Florida losing 3 games in a row.

I am pulling for the Cats but there are two things that you can't over look about the Gators.

 

1. They have lost 2 in a row. When was last time they lost 3 in a row.

 

2. They had 2 weeks to get ready for the Cats. You can tweek sometings 2 weeks. That the cats haven't seen.

I think Florida will be full of tricks this weekend and Tebow will be a tough matchup for UK because we traditionally struggle with running QB's, but...this is a pretty good UK team. I would love to have Rafael Little in the lineup to give us some ball security, but I still think UK can win.

Didn't Auburn beat Florida at Florida. Then everyone expected Florida to get blown out at LSU and because they played LSU tough they're now some juggernaut. I'll take the CATS at home.

The Cats have big Mo on there side! Where as UF might be a little rusty.

My buddy heard from the mascot that Corso has requested the wildcat head. Now maybe he always has both just in case but I thought that was interesting.

This was Herbstreit to Paul Finebaum on the radio in the 'Ham.

Went on to say UF had too many athletes and even their young athletes are better than UK's.

He was also quick to say "Blowout!" on Tirico's show today.

Now for the record, I think it will be difficult for UK to win Saturday, based on the fact UF has had essentially 2 weeks to prepare and UK coming off a tough one versus LSU. Plus overall UF is a better team.

However, I think UK will move the ball better versus UF than they did LSU. UF secondary is young and their overall defense is nowhere near LSU's. Flip side, their offense is better than LSU's and Tebow is the type of player that gives UK fits.

UK has a certain fire about them in that they don't give up and have ben through a lot over the last few years and are bent on making some amends fortheir past history.

It should be fun...

 

He basically had the same opinion about the LSU game, so I could care less. It is hard to imagine how an expert analyst could say that a 6-1 team coming off a come-from-behind win against the #1 team in the nation, playing at home won't be able to stay on the field with Florida.

 

When they were picking the LSU game on Gameday, Corso was saying that it would be a close game but LSU would pull it out and Herbstreit just sat there shaking his head saying LSU would win big.

 

It really doesn't bother me...these guys are asked to give their opinion and they do it. I think the game will be fairly close and competitive, but I expect Florida to win. I wouldn't be shocked at any outcome though...including a blowout by either team. Nothing should surprise the way this season has gone so far.

I like them both for the record. I enjoy these guys picking big against UK...I think it gives the team a little extra motivation. I also realize that teams like UK (and U of L a few years ago) have to go through this on the way to getting respect across the nation. A couple of big wins don't do it...you have to maintain that over several seasons...as of now UK has done it for the last half of the '06 season and the first 7 games of '07...they still have a lot of work to do before people like Corso and Herbstreit start giving them respect against elite programs.

If I was Corso I'd pick UK whether I believed it or not...he has to think this may be the only time they'll ever do Gameday in Lexington. If that was me, I'd want to work the crowd into as big a frenzy as I could...of course, he may want to do the opposite. Also, I'd want to add a new mascot head to the list of ones I'd put on...

That's what I expect too...I think coming off 2 losses and an extra week off, they're going to throw a few surprises at us that we probably won't be ready for and they'll probably result in huge plays...big gains, 3rd and 4th down conversions, etc...back-breaking type plays that just suck some of the life out of the team and the fans. I hope I'm wrong...I hope they don't work.

First one low second one high should slow down Tebow.

Here's my dream for Saturday and beyond:

 

Everyone is sitting in Commonwealth watching the teams during pre-game. The Cats leave the field a few minutes early and head to the lockerroom. The cheerleaders, etc. form a huge tunnel and everyone prepares for their entrance to the field. Surprisingly, AC/DC's back in black starts playing over the stadium speakers. The Cats rip through the entrance paper and to everyone's shock, they are fully decked in black - pants, jerseys, and even helmets. The smoke, fireworks, and noise is at an all-time high. A fireworks display similar to the Forth of July rains overtop the stadium. Florida comes out flat and UK rolls to an eye-opening victory. Next, UK finishes the season 4-0 and is ranked number 2 in the BCS behind Ohio State. For the national championship, its UK vs. OSU in New Orleans. UK dominates and wins 51-24. If this happens, I'm the first member of the Bluegrass Preps Hall of Fame and every member must pay me a $10 Nastradamus fee.
