Male over Highlands? You must be joking.

Alot of teams across the state would be lucky to come away with a 2-4 record with that schedule. Cov. Cath's record isnt a true reflection of this team because they are a good team, and come playoff time they are going to be prepared. Although it may be tough for them to make it out of that tough district with Highlands and Dixie.

What purpose does this system serve?

I don't know...but my puppy sure loves it while potty training him...at least it serves one point...lol

Mayfield at #5 in Class A....no love for the #1 team in Class A

I thought they gave Beechwood plenty of love.

CovCath is starting to play much better. Although they likely have a few more losses on the schedule (at Elder, at Lou. St. X), this team could be a very hard out come the playoffs.

WOW ..... CovCath at #20 with a 2-4 record.

Not really a surprise if you look at the other LIT ratings.

Out of state games do not count so the loss to Cin. LaSalle and probable loss to Cin. Elder this week do not factor.

That leaves 2-3 and a 105.6 rating.

Wins over:

Scott (72.1)

Beechwood (#1 in Class A 102.8 rating)

Losses:

Dixie (#7 in 5a with a 98.1)

NewCath (#1 in 2A and #15 in state with a 109.4)

Highlands (#2 in 5A and #5 in state with a 125.8)

I thought they gave Beechwood plenty of love.

I was referring to Mayfield...not Beechwood. Mayfield is #1 in AP polls. But I also think that Beechwood is low in the rankings.

These used to be used as a tie breaker for the playoffs years ago when not every team in the state made it.

PRP still in the top 10 with a 3-4 record...wow

My thoughts exactly.

Well, one of their losses was out of state, so it doesn't factor in to these ratings. They lost to Ballard in overtime and dropped another close one to Eastern. Both of those teams are good teams. They keep did get beaten pretty soundly by Manual, but Manual is an excellent team. Overall, considering strength of schedule, the rating may not be that bad. They are well coached and have good athletes. Although I do not claim to be an expert on high school computer ratings, it seems as though strength of schedule is more important than overall record for purposes of these ratings.
