Pulaski couldn't do it, and neither will Corbin. However, I hate to have to pick Corbin to win, but have to. Hope I am wrong and this is the game the Jags shock everyone (2 years ago vs Madison Central, last year vs South Laurel).

If Corbin plays to their capabilities they should win handily. They seem to be in their groove so that is what has me thinking it will be pretty lopsided. However you cannot write off the Jags. I remember a couple years ago, Corbin beat North like a drunkard whippin their wife to the tune of 63-7. The next year, by all means Corbin should have probably beat them even worse but North made a heck of a game out of it and gave the Hounds a little scare. Corbin should win and win big but it wouldnt shock me if it were closer than we expect.

 

The 63-7 loss was awful for NL and when Corbin jumped up on them, the Jags laid down that night, but it was actually the turning point in that season. The next year, Corbin jumped out early, but the Jags did something different in 2005 that they didn't in 2004, ... they fought back and made it a very exciting game that Corbin didn't put away until their final drive when they ate up the clock, kept the NL offense on the sideline and punched in a TD to seal it. But Blair and Cessna were on that NL team and the Jags don't have a player like either of those 2 right now. I think NL keeps it respectable until the 4th.

Corbin calls the score what ever they want. Continuous clock by half-time.

 

Watch what you say.You made that call against Bardstown B. and it did;nt happen. North an't that bad. You know if it comes to a 40 point lead Coach Jewell will let everybody play and keep it down.I'LL say 49-12 Corbin North will score late. What about your game with North can you name the score.:p

North Laurel's defense has been much better than their offense. However, it has given up an average of 32 points a game in their last 4 games--this isn't The Steel Curtain we're talking about. I think this is the week that it really implodes on them, Corbin 48 North Laurel 7.

I don't think it will be as bad as everyone thinks. Corbin 35 N.L. 14. In the past few years Corbin has really struggled with teams running the Belly series see Bell Co and Belfry.

 

Yeah you are right but North is not at the level of Bell and Belfry, they may be in the future and if they continue to work hard but they are a little bit behind right now.

A lot of those points are 4th quarter points when the defense has been on the field for most of the game. I get aggravated when I see posters on here posting stuff like 'running clock by halftime' or '56-6' when they have yet to even see them play.

 

You are right, the defense has been better than the offense. But with 2 weeks to prepare and heal up, NL will be much more competitive then many posters believe. I don't see the Jags winning, but until the 4th, I think it is closer than most think.

I would love to see the Jags pull this one off, and if they can cut down the turnovers, dropped passes, etc. they may just keep it close.

If North keeps it close early, I'd say that your prediction is about right.

I sure hope the boys/men don't listen to all these post telling them how good they are our are not. We should go out there and practice harder every week and just continue to improve. I realize were just giving our opinion on and upcoming compition and it's fun, just don't want anything they read in here to cause them to loose their focus. Never underestimate your opponent.:fight:

I completly agree with Mountain Thunder on this one...and pretty much every other week that everyone has said that North is going to get slaughtered. The North D is a good defense, they are by no means "awesome", and they can hold some teams from scoring for awhile. The North offense is just now allowing for any rest, so...I'll take it closer than everyone thinks.

Corbin isn't going to score 50+ on this team..and just like MT said every week people get on here and say that this team is going to do it and they never do.

I have said this before and I will say it again . . . Corbin NEVER underestimates their opponents. Anything can happen on any given Friday night. The boys will work hard to take care of business. North Laurel has talent and is capable of upsetting anyone.

I really don't think Corbin will under estimate NL, nor do I think NL has the talent level of what Corbin has faced lately. 'Hounds have been putting up impressive numbers, and I can actually see them scoring at or near 50. The only team that NL has played that is close to what Corbin is now has been Clay, but Corbin is better and not as one dimensional as the Tigers. Say what you will, but it will probably take an incredible effort from the 'Jags to keep this one respectable.
