October 6, 200719 yr Anyone catch the season premiere last night? If so, what did you think? And if not, then WHY NOT?! I DVR'd it and watched it when I got home. Pretty good, I thought the ending was a little over the top but it sets up some interesting subplots for the year. I guess they decided to take advantage of their attractive cast by having almost all of the running around in swimsuits in the opening scene.
October 6, 200719 yr Author Indeed it was a little over the top... I think what they're doing is trying to take the typical mainstream TV show approach to draw in a crowd... Once the have the audience coming back every week they can stop being so over the stop and go back to just being a great TV show... I don't see anyone turning away.

October 7, 200719 yr The trouble with "Friday night Lights" is that it airs on Friday's. Most people that would enjoy the show are at their own Friday Night Lights and local h.s. football game.

October 7, 200719 yr Author I could never get into this series for some reason... I remember back to the thread where we were talking about the pilot and we were both saying that it seemed boring... But as the season progressed, it really came into its own. It seems like after every episode I've just kinda got that "wow" reaction now. I definitely agree that the show started out boring, but I am glad that I continued to watch just to see what happened. Now I really don't think there is a better show on TV.

October 9, 200719 yr That is pretty dumb to have a show that appeals to football fans air on Friday night during football season. Who is in charge of this kinda thing any idiot can figure out this will not work.
October 9, 200719 yr Watched it online tonight. Pretty good. Just trying to figure how this is going to play out. Coach Taylor will come back somehow. I think something may go wrong at home and add to it the new coach goes postal on someone and gets canned and Coach Taylor comes back. Kyle Chandler does a heckuva job as Coach Taylor...sure is better at coaching than working for the bomb squad in Seattle.
October 9, 200719 yr Best part of the show was when qb1s girlfriend went chasing after the guy who already had a girlfriend. But as is the case most of the time she cheats on him next week. I hope he drops her.
