Most know I really, really like L.C. so when I say this it's not to be mean. This game shows how far L.C. has fallen and how much work needs to be done to start them back up the hill.

Congratulations to Rowan Co. And hats off to there fans they only had just a small hand full but they made more noise for the entire game then our side did even when they was behind which wasn't for long but any ways what few fans did travel with them are good and true fans of their program. Now for the game Rowan is just like every body said they have some very good players and alot of speed they came into the Dawgs house and won it tonight. LC didn't help thier self any they gave up the big play right after takeing the lead . We moved the ball up and down the field all night but had trouble getting it in the endzone. I would like to see the stats of this game . We had one kid taken to the hospital to night Drew webb I hope he will be ok I really didn't see what happen to him and Ben Preston was carried off the field but came right back in on the next series he's one tough kid and for senior night will Cody patrick I thought stood out he had several tackles and played one heck of a game . Acie Waller had some nice catches tonight and Tim Hays made some nice runs also and Brad Lanye had a real nice return tonight also Josh Ferguson and Brian Scarberry had a solid game and Coty Roberts well what can you say this kid runs has hard has any one I have ever seen . Maybe I shouldn't have gotten into naming name because you all ways miss some one but I just wanted to let people know these seniors gave it thier all and tonight they came up short. We have two weeks to get ready for Greenup and if these seniors ever want the chance to play in the pound at least one more time then it's a must win. Good luck to Rowan next week and for the dogs take the next two week and get the kinks worked out thiers still alot of football left in the season :thumb:

Based upon game with Devils , Lawrence has potential. If time doesn't run out on this season they will put it together one week. Watching Dawgs last week they seemed ready to explode on someone - glad it wasn't the devils. They have the kids in place. Thought they would put it all together against Rowan.

Ps ... saw Goldsmith at freshman and JV games this week at Russell , this guy loves kids and football ... Visible leader for Dawgs program- they will get it done ...

The first 2 rounds of the playoffs are against your own district again. So Lawrence could play Rowan again in the playoffs depends on how they teams are seeded in the playoffs and depending on who plays and beats who. You don't play the other team in the region until the 3rd round.

It is a shame that this district is allowed 2 rounds into the playoffs instead of traveling to the opposing rival district of Bell, Knox, Rock and McCreary. It would once again be talk of a sweep as years past.

 

First off, this district does not play Bell, Knox, Rockcastle district this year. The KHSAA is rotating Districts in the playoffs. This year it is District 5 playing District 8 and D-6 playing D-7.

So whoever comes out of this district in Week 3 playoffs will play either Franklin County, Bourbon, Harrison, Pendleton.

 

Next year District 8 (LC district) will play district 6 (Boyle), then in 2009 this district will District 7 (Bell's).

 

In other words more reason to hate the new 6-Class format.
