Is UL even the best football team in the city???

Featured Replies

With Trinity playing national-number 1 Cincy St. X very well and UL's defense the way it is, is UL even the best football team in the city??? Or is Trinity...

If Trinity wins big this week I'm going with Trinity.

While the Rocks are good, they would be torn up by UL.

Nah... you're too hard on the Rocks.

PS You know that T would put up at least 28 on the Cards.

You think?

Trinity probably would score...and that's tragic.

I'm sure you say that out of frustration and in jest to an absurd question.

No FREAKING WAY T or X score against UL. I'm not even sure if they would get a first down.

If #2 and #9 keep getting sucked in, me and my grandma could put up 30+ on Louisville...that first play by Syracuse, the guy was 30 yards behind them...:creepy:

Am I the only one that looks at this question as preposterous?

D1 athletes agaisnt predominantly D3/NAIA athletes?

Yes, in our frustration with Louisville's defense, we are now willing to post the absurd in an attempt to understand it all. We say this stuff every year, but we all know that Trinity would not score.

I dont tihnk they would have a shot at UL. Now, I thought that they could beat Syracuse since the first game of the season, and I know they beat UL but UL is in a funk right now and even if T or X played them, they would get blown out of this world. Syracuse is awful and I think T could give them a run for there money if they played there absolute best game.

T and X would not have beaten Syracuse, either. They would not beat Marshall. I doubt seriously whether they would beat Centre College. We are really getting far afield here.

Like Middle Tennessee's??? And yes I know they are (bottom) D-1...

Louisville is giving up over 40 a game to 1 good D-1 and two terrible D-1s the last three, so yes D-3 would score on UL if they are constantly blowing coverage/getting sucked in and letting receivers get 30 yards behind them.

The terrible Middle Tennessee team that put up 555 yards on UL was shut out by LSU and lost to Western...so yes, D-3/NAIA players can score on the UL D right now...

They would not beat Centre College. Hang around a college team and compare their strength and maturity to that of high schoolers, not to mention more years of weight-lifting and more knowledge. No way.
