Dunbar 34 Tates Creek 14

Featured Replies

I seriously doubt it will get them back to elite status, especially if they can't throw. They aren't big nor fast enough to be one-dimensional.

Is the option attack one dimensional?

In the Lexington poll thread, I put them in front of Lafayette and behind HC and LexCath.

Good to see "the Golfer" back in form. Where were you in the Scott Co. thread when the dogs laid an egg at home? You do have the "inside stuff" on PLD. Lot fo talk after beating creek, but nothing after laying the egg and losing at 2A Corbin. What happened in those two games?

There is no shame in being beaten by Corbin. If you take the time to find out, you will see that Corbin is a very good and tradition rich football team!

Its quite obvious you don't give a crap about the Dunbar program on whether they win or lose, you just care about seeing the old days of Chip Franklin throwing the ball on every down. I'm sure you would be pumped if Dunbar was 0-4 right now but was in shotgun throwing every down. If you think Dunbar should go shotgun and throw the ball every play you need to call your old buddie Jim Franklin and he will fix your ideas.

And by the way Dunbar lost to Corbin and Scott County because they are the two best teams they have played so far. Tates Creek and Bryan Station would get whacked by Corbin.

But go ahead and say it again "Clean House at Dunbar what do those stupid rednecks know about football"

I will tell you what happened at Corbin. 4 passes were dropped, 2 that would have went for TD's and there was a fumble at the Corbin 25 after a 22 yard run. Coaches can only do so much. Sometimes you just have to catch the ball when you are wide open. Dunbar should have won, but it is no shame losing to Corbin.

Well said my friend...

Yes, they beat Bryan Station 45-3 and Tates Creek 34-14 and held Ty Sparks to 44 yards Rushing. But don't worry people will be on here soon enough calling for Dunbar's coaching staff to go because they didn't win using the video game style

Wow, you got both fists swinging here! I really don't think the BGP members are saying anything about calling for the staff to go. Dunbar has come off a great win this weekend, but the problem with this statement is between the coaching staff and the Dunbar parents/supporters. Great game though.

I personally love it when people show such disdain for the forward pass and then wonder why they aren't winning championships.

Here is what another poster wrote and now you can see my point.

About the been there, done that. Possibly! Check your pm!

As for PLD, might be way past due on cleaning house.

What do those stupid rednecks know about football?:D :D :D Congrats on the win.

I believe former Morgan County head football coach Randy Wood has made a difference in the Dunbar football team. His knowledge of the triple option has obviously paid off in a little over a week of preparation...teams will struggle stopping the triple. And yes, the triple option is more than 1 dimensional, look at what happens to teams that load up the box get handed to them..saw it often here at Morgan Co., when Coach Wood took arguably the worst football team and program in the state and put them on the map in his first year.

He has a brilliant mind of the game and teaches it extremely well. The bald guy has helped and will help Dunbar football turn the corner in the coming weeks.

Is the option attack one dimensional?

It's not true option. Mostly fullback dives and traps.

^Out of a million formations too.:thumb:

Well 1-9 says alot. 2-2 says something also, especially after losing to a 2A team, being that you are in 6A and in the second biggest city in the state. Say what you want about Jim and Chip. They'll fix nothing for me. I'm cool as the other side of the pillow. There are 6 games left and some very talented teams on the schedule. The first four won't compare to either HC or Trinity. We'll see what you have to say after those two games. Feeling pretty good at 2-2 aren't we? That says alot about the way things are going over there. 0-4, you started last year off like that. You talk alot and promote those guys greatly, but scores, records, and highlights from the "one eye in the sky" say otherwise than what you are spitting.

By the way, Jim didn't run the offense back then, so why do I need to talk to him?

At least someone understands.

Yes. Hey, try and help some people see what it really is.
