What the................Borchers was never the head coach at Bellevue:irked: Paul Grey was the head coach before Eckstein.

I am an idiot. I was thinking of Grey. Borchers is a heck of a coach. However, Dave is also a very proven coach. SORRY coach Borchers.

Dayton will have a tough game with Ludlow, but dayton still comes out on top 21-14.

Dave Eckstein has brought sucess to EVERY program he has commanded. Can you say the same about Borchers? I DON'T think so. Compare carreer records. Also, look at the teams that each have beaten as a head coach. It is not comparable. If Borchers was still the head coach at Bellvue, the program would be in the basement.

Wow I realize now that you have no clue what you are talking about, and you might want to make sure next time, before you say anything...Coach Borchers has only been a head coach for 2 years and they both have been at Ludlow only, and in his first year as a head coach ever, he did outcoach the "great" coach eckstein in almost every way in that game. Not many Bellevue fans have even argued that point...

Both coaches are great coaches and I dont even know why we are discussing this, but for some reason some guy wanted to say coach eckstein could outcoach coach Borchers anyday of the week, and I simply pointed out that was not true at all...Both are good coaches, end of story...

Now for the 3rd time, can we all please stop any of the Ludlow, Bellevue discussion because this is the Ludlow vs Dayton thread. The Ludlow vs. Bellevue thread got closed, and I dont want this getting closed as well...

Wow, I had already corrected that mistake, having confused Randy with the previous Bellevue coach. I don't however believe for a second that Eckstein was outcoached. Many Bellevue fans would like to give that scenario rather than to admit that Ludlow may have simply had more talent than Bellevue.

What is so hard to believe about that. Good coaches can get outcoached by other good other coaches some games.. I know I had talked to coach borchers before the game last year against bellevue, and he told me the first play they would run, and guarnteed it would work because of the defense Bellevue runs, and how they attack things, and sure enough the first play of the game it worked and went for a td for Ludlow to start the game. Then there were a few more examples from the game, where Borchers just knew what Eckstein and Bellevue was going to do because of the tendencies Bellevue had shown on film and Borchers set up perfect plays for those situations. And on the defensive side of the ball, Ludlow didn't allow Bellevue to do anything all day really. So you can believe it or not, but Borchers did very much outcoach Eckstein in that game last year...

Quick question to the Dayton fans on here? I have heard a rumor that Ellis would not be playing this week because of an injury? Is there any truth to this rumor?

Turnovers will decide this one! Both teams coming off tough losses (in different aspects) so if one is still struggling off of last week it will play a factor also. Sounds pretty evenly matched though.

That would be false.

That would be false.

:thumb: Ok thanks! I thought it might not have been true, since haven't heard anything about it on here yet. But I thought I would alteast ask about it, since I did hear that...

Hey nice to see that we got another realistic person on here! :thumb:

You haven't been looking very closely to the threads, Future C, caus lots of people on here have been realistic and said Beechwood is by far the best team, heads above the rest. I've yet to see one post that remotely said Dayton, Bellevue, or Ludlow could beat Beechwood. I have seen several that said they could compete on any given day and not win, but not lose by 40+
