Usually yes but not in this case. On a simple pitch that hits the runningbacks hands that he should have caught he drops. Did Bellevue have anything to do with that nope..Jarrett Rouse throwing a pass straight to a Bellevue guy in the end zone when if he just throws it high its a touchdown. Or a guy who might have the best hand on the team drops a pass and it bounces straight in the air. Bellevue did not cause any of that to happen. What Bellevue did do right was take advantage of those mistakes though, and that is what teams are suppose to do, and I have gave credit to them for that...

HAHA as for your little thing at the of your post. I have 2 points to make.

1. Either one they were trying to run up the score, because there was no reason to throw a pass, because it wasn't like Ludlow showed any signs up stopping Bellevue from running out the clock, they were just marching down the field and using up the whole clock and with the lead. So unless they were trying to run up the score..

2. Maybe wasn't trying to run up the score, and Coach Eckstein is just not very smart. Because unless he was trying to run up the score, that had to be the dumbest thing ever to pass the ball in that situation. Because as I said Ludlow was not coming close to stopping Bellevue from running the ball on that last drive and Bellevue was easily going to be able to run out the clock by running it. So why even take a chance to throw the ball, and get it picked off. I mean they are actually lucky that the Ludlow guy didn't turn his head because if he would have just lucked for the ball Ludlow would have got it back. So if you really think about it man, it was either they were trying to run the score up, or they are not very smart. Because I know I was happy and very surprised to see them through the ball because that gave Ludlow a chance to get a turnover. And they tried to pass it two plays in a row, so that was VERY DUMB...

You "future coach" say that the thing Ludlow needs help on is D' well that is what Dayton does best is D', and with all the "running" stats i saw from Bellevue, and knowing that the Dayton running game is better than Bellevues i dont see Ludlow's D' stopping them.

Bellevue had all those running stats because they have a good offensive line. dayton doesnt

I'm being realist and honest, when I say let's eliminate the personal jabs at each other.

Talk about the game, let everyone post their comments.

And that is not true at all. Ludlow does have a good running game, but the passing game was working so well against Bellevue that there was no reason to try to run the ball much. They moved the ball all night long like that. In the first two games of the year, Ludlow did run the ball more and put up good rushing yards as well. Also Bellevue had been a very good pass defense going into the Ludlow game, and as I said Ludlow's passing game still worked very well against them even with Rouse not playing his sharpest game...

Im pretty sure Dayton left Ludlow with -27 rushing yards last year. Ludlow is much slower than Holmes and not as big as Scott.

Dayton-28

Ludlow-14

This game will be webcast on http://www.local12.com this week. If you cannot go to the game or have someone out of town who would like to see the game, they can watch it being live webcasted this Friday!

ok "animalcontrol08" i can agree with you on the defensive standpoint, but how do figure Dayton's running game is better than Bellevue's running game...

I can see where you would say that lookin at the size of the Bellevue front line but IMO i just think Dayton's line "meshes" better with the quick spread out offense they run. Bellevue jsut seems to have a big powerfull type of line but little quick backs. IMO

Good observation Grizz

O ya and i say Dayton by two

Dayton= 27

Ludlow=14

How do you figure Dayton running game is better. They definitely have shown NO SIGNS at all to back up your claim that they have a better running game than bellevue...

I would say check coach Eckstein's over all record against the Ludlow Panthers.:thumb:

Are you serious, yes Dayton has shown MANY SIGNS of having a great running game, look at both of their wins, both times the run was dominant on their oppenents D'.

However passing has been a great problem. They had to pull their starter to win the Holmes game. Also when you run the spred offense like Dayton it is very important to complete your passes.

I will go with Dayton in this one if they can bounce back but I also see Ludlow coming out fired up after that loss. If Dayton still has their heads down, which they shouldnt I will go with Dayton, if not its going to be Ludlow. So I pick Dayton in a real close one Devils 14 Panthers 13

I doubt that this person has researched Trimble Co very much. Most people don't think of Trimble as a football powerhouse, so they vastly underestimate them.

Here is a name and a few numbers for you: David Bird - 6'0, 200 lbs, 835 rushing yards in three games, averaging 10 yds/carry. 1164 yds as a sophomore, over 1600 yds as a junior (two games played against Danville and one against Frankfort - both years).

Who does Trimble play with a winning record besides Ludlow?:confused:
