Just as I stated last week with Lexington Catholic, I don't see how this group of Male Seniors could improve so dramatically to win against this group of St. X Seniors.

Three years ago as Freshman St. X handed them a shut out on Male's home field.

Two years ago as Sophomores playing JV they beat them handly at St. X. Although Male did score in that game.

I won't predict a blow out by any means, but I say St. X wins this one by 7 to 13.

Folks, I've enjoyed reading all these comments about this game and how many of you are predicting a Male victory. The funny thing that no one has mentioned is that this is the same Male team which was beaten by Highlands by approximately 40 points in an August scrimmage.

Heyman, Green, and Hobbs are excellent athletes for the Bulldogs, but the overall team is no where near as big or talented as last year's rendition. The St. X. team they will be facing has handled them for the past three years at both the JV and freshman levels, and teamwise the Tigers are much more comparable to Highlands than Male's three regular season opponents to date (Fairdale, Seneca, and Central).

Male/X games are always hard fought, and I'm sure this will be no different. Nonetheless, X's numbers (further enhanced by more starters returning from injury) combined with Male's self-destructive defense will bring the Tigers out on top 34-14.

The freshmen game is today at St.X. Any reports on how strong the Baby Bulldogs are this year? The only thing I've heard is that they were beaten by Central and (shock)..."they have a good running back".

What time is the freshman game?

I haven't heard a lot about Male's freshmen other than they had a good numbers turnout. I'm not shocked that as usual "they have a good running back". The nicest thing to me, however, is that the Baby Bengals have at least four (4) good running backs (large and small)...GO TIGERS!! :ylsuper:

We should have done this "new stadium" thing a long time ago.

Where did that stable of running backs come from?

I hate to say it, but I think Manual gets MALE this year.

I must admit I don't have an intense dislike of Manual. Part of that is because there hasn't been much reason to. The Old Rivalry needs more balance and this might be Manual's year to "borrow" the barrel.

But this is a St X/Male thread!
