Hilton should get his 300th win following the Oct. 12 after defeating Sheldon Clark.

Haywood will get the mark the following week after defeating Sheldon Clark as well.

If Bell and Belfry keep winning, I wouldn't want to be Shawn Hager, Coach of the Sheldon Clark Cardinals, on Oct. 12 and Oct. 19.

It is tough enough to travel to Log Mountain and Pond Creek to try and win a game. How would you like to be traveling to Log Mountain to try and beat Bell County against all the hoopla of Coach Hilton going after his 300th win?

And then the following week, how about repeating the same feat while traveling to Belfry and trying to stop Coach Haywood from getting his 300th win, with the district championship on the line?

That is a tough row to hoe.

Agreed and if accomplished, that would be a trivia question.

Coach Hilton and the Bobcats will head north for this one! Coach Hilton will have to get the V on the road. Bell has its only three home games in the next three games. All others until playoffs will be away!

This thread is about 2 great coaches. Let's keep it about that, and leave all the other crap out. :irked:

Ah, I read the schedule wrong. :thumb:

The thing I liked what Haywood said wwhen asked about it, he was like no big deal that it just means he has coached for a long time and coaches dont win games but the players, it just means he has been surrounded by great players and dedicated coaches.

While all this is true they are a reason they are the way they are, because of classy coach like Coach Haywood.

What would have been intense would be if Bell could have played Belfry this season, Belfry tried to make it happen. That would have been fun, to bad Bell couldnt get the schedule to fit.

Both these coaches (Haywood and Hilton)are class acts, kinda outta the same mold, running game which means wins... Both have had good athletes to help them with this milestone, but again their way of handling young men is a credit to both,Good Luck and Congrats on this huge milestone of 300 wins,Both are sure Hall of Fame coaches....I also might add they have had lots good asst. Coaches to help them along thier travel to get 300 wins.....

Bell only lost 1 game in 91. They won a state title. And lost to Corbin. They were 14-1.

They had to forfeit some games at the beginning of the year, LMB. Used an inelligible player if I remember it correctly.

The 10-5 is the official record of the KHSAA.

My bad on that then. Unofficially they were 14-1.

When was his first year at Bell?

Dudley's first year at Bell High was 1983, which was also the last year at the old school. They moved to Log Mountain for the 1984 school year. I believe the 1982 Bell High team was winless.
