Highlands team speed is very impressive. I know for a fact that Ryle has some very quick players on defense, but they didn't look so against some of the Highlands backs/receivers. Ryle had a lot of missed tackles. Obviously credit goes to the Highlands players for causing some of the misses, but quite a few were just plain old misses. Ryle will be fine this year when it's all said and done, but their passing game sure did look weak. Tough to come back from a 4-touchdown halftime deficiet by running the ball. Ryle sure does seem to run a lot of passing plays in which they only send two guys out on routes.

Ryle is going to be alright this year. They can build off this game. Good luck on the rest of the season.

Their team speed is unbelievable and they demoralized the #3 6A team in Male last week in a scrimmage. I would say they are BIG BOYS..wouldnt you. Ryle is no slouch either. Trotwood will be a tough matchup for them and a true test.

Trotwood will be tough I agree, but Dixie is the one I really worry about.

This game was NOT lopsided!

No Studs  I would say they have several studs. Josh Conner is a stud, basically ran all over the Ryle Raiders. Cecil is a stud, played well and the guys on the line did very well Stein, Ball and Hempfling. Zach Hurtt is a stud, they ahve several studs but you are right, they play well as a unit.

I think the heat had a lot to do with slickness of ball (sweating profusely) and also the illegal procedures. Mental mistakes when the inside of your helmet is 180 degrees and you cant think straight.

Overall a nice win for the Birds. I thought they went to Gudugli too soon in the 3rd qtr and that kind of killed their momentum. If Cecil starts the 2nd half they roll this one up late in the 3rd qtr. I will say Ryle never quit and made a couple nice drives there with Benke and Eubanks. They really miss their studs from last year in GRay and the Murray.

Birds need to get those mental mistakes corrected and cut down on the turnovers and start preparing for the Trotwood Studs. Now they have some STUDS : )

You cant leave Joe Fitzgerald out of the stud category. He looked great tonight. For such a nice kid off the field, I loved seeing the fight he had on the field.:thumb:

Your right, Highlands dominated the whole game.

Did he pull the famous quote "We are so good and fast"

Did he pull the famous quote "We are so good and fast"

I don't think so.

Good start to the season for the Bluebirds.

You mean did he state the fact "We are so good and fast" ? :thumb:

He is really making a name for himself. If every young football player would watch Fitzgerald and his tenacity and emulate that same energy there would be a ton of great football players out there. Still an undersized guy but probably has the biggest heart on that team.

Your right there.
