Fern Creek vs Meade County has been pushed back to 8pm Friday night

Some of these bowl games on Friday are going to be scorchers because they start so early.

Anyone who was in Bowling Green for the last two Rafferty's Bowls knows what kind of havoc the heat index can have.

 

St. X and BG played till time for church on Sunday two years ago. Heat index and then lightening delayed the start of the first game.

There's a nice field in Barrow Alaska, wonder if it will be available this weekend?

Heat will definitly be a factor games should be played later.

Bullitt East - Woodford County game is supposed to start at 5 on Saturday at Papa John's with two games before it I cannot see it starting that early.

I can't see how they will possible play that game. Heck, after the incident last year at Henderson, I would think that everyone will be extremely careful this weekend. 100 degrees at 2:30 on field turf is hot.

The KY football community has been lucky so far THIS year in dealing with the heat. Lets be smart for another couple of weeks till the heat breaks. If we need to delay games or start times, so what? Its much better than the alternative.

It was still pretty hot and muggy at 8:00p.m Thurs. night. The players might be cooler than the fans in crowded stands.

Heat won't be a factor if the games are played 8pm or later, my prediction anyway. Any game scheduled to start earlier will be postponed.

Usually practice is some time between 4:30 and 8:00 Game time is 7:30.

It's more hotter around 4-6:30

 

Now for people who have games on Sat different story.

 

 

I agree. Practice time is usually hotter.

 

Safety is a priority. Later starts and pre-hydrating would be wise.

 

We will see who was serious about conditioning and who skated.
