I guarantee you that Coach Hart and his staff will have Ashland ready to play. IMO Ashland will come out of the box hungry with something to prove and the Rams better be ready to meet the challenge.

All I know is that it is a mutual agreement between both schools. I have heard that this was the last year for an "all games at Putnam" deal, not sure.

 

I would love to play them down here in "Ramblerville" at our house but I also enjoy Putnam Stadium as well. That is a great atmosphere for High School Football.

 

I would agree with that said. But just maybe the Rams would like to have Home field advantage just once. Maybe every 5 years. Besides the Ram players might enjoy a win against the Mighty Tomcats at home.

Next thing you know they will want you to play on Saturday because its raining on Friday.

Like Ram stated, both teams have question marks on both sides of the ball and are trying to replace some very good talent lost from graduation. Turnovers will play a key role in as to what direction the game may take. The game may be decided by special teams play.

Other Ram fans aren't predicting an outcome so I'll go ahead and say....

I agree with both of you. If Raceland goes into Putnum with the wrong attitude, Friday will be a long night. I hope they show up to play, and maybe feel like they have something to prove as well. Raceland was hit hard with graduation on both sides or the ball. This years team is still unproven. Raceland had better get ready to prove that they can play together and win together.

But those are district game and there is no choice there. There is just as much if not more room at East and West Carter as there is at Raceland.

 

Also the crowd at the Carter County school is not as large.

Why are the Rams going to putnam two years in a row?

Jeepman, the bigger question is HOW DOES RUSSELL GET ASHLAND TO CONTINUE TO PLAY HOME AND HOMES?!?!:scared:

 

Haha, as I said ina Pikeville thread... the only thing harder than getting a win in Putnam Stadium is getting the Tomcats to agree to a Home and Home.

 

 

As for the game, ashland has been decimated this season by graduation and the loss of their QB... the Tomcats will get things going, like always, by the end of the season, but I think that right now Raceland is 2 TD's better....

 

Considering this game is played at Putnam, that 2 TD advantage becomes a wash, so:

The Tomcats may be struggling right now but they will get it going. Raceland may be the better team but not many ppl come to Putnam and walk out with a W. But I believe the Rams pull out a close one. My prediction:

Sarcasm aside facts are facts. An Ashland or Russell game at Raceland will produce a crowd that is too large for Raceland facilities to accomodate. I don't blame Ashland for not wanting to play there and I wish Russell would not have agreed to it either. Circumstances however dictated differently.
